Una
I keep my head down. In this backwards pack, females rank low, and my bad leg makes me damaged goods. It doesn't help that I've never shifted. I don't mind the late twenties single life, though. No one's paying any attention as I build an illicit farmer's market empire.
My roomies and I are doing it for ourselves, and if life under Killian Kelly is stifling, at least it's predictable. We can deal.
But when biology finally kicks in, I lose my mind. I claim our alpha as my mate. And he rejects me in front of the whole pack.
It's all good. I'll survive. That's what I do.
But my alpha? Turns outโhe might not be able to live without me.
Killian
To lead this pack out of the dark ages, I've had to be hard. Merciless. I don't flinch, and I don't make mistakes.
Una Hayes isn't my mate.
My wolf might have some kind of strange infatuation, but if she were mine, I'd know it. And I can walk away, can't I?
And if I keep coming back? If she starts living in my head?
I'm the strongest male in five generations. My pack scrambles to do my bidding. I can bring one quiet female back in line. No one can possibly be as stubborn as I am.
There's no way I've ruined the best thing that's ever happened to me.
I'm the Quarry pack alpha, and Una's not going anywhere.
The Tyrant Alpha's Rejected Mate is a full-grown shifter romance. No cheating. HEA guaranteed. Intended for adult readers only.

It had all the elements of several tropes, which is rejected mate, grumpy Alpha, shifter, strong female protagonist.
I liked the storyline and characters. However, toward the end it felt like i was reading for reading sake. The internal monologues seemed repetitive and the self doubt became irritating.
Its the kind of book i was happy to finish to find out what happened, but won't be going on my read again list.
Not sure I would recommend.

I got so far in to the first chapter and wasn't thinking it would be any great read but I read on a little further and was glad I did. The book got better and better and it progressed. I love the way the bond was experienced, it made it very interesting, more romantic and soul bonding between them than other Were mate bonds. Killian is a dick and his shy girl is seemingly weak. Contrary to a review it is explained why her wolf is undersized and I thought the way their relationship wound through their whole livex and the evolving pack history was masterful. Its a very unassuming tale but quickly becomes near epic. There were a couple of areas where more detail could have ramped the story up further, the girls, her previous partners. A tad more description of his feelings and horror about her dicey situation but it didn't detract from what was brilliant work. I bookmarked a few excellent pieces of work, the true Alpha was one such poignant point to name one. I could ramble on more because it's the best book I've read in a while and I've read quite a few lately but i don't want to give away any spoilers. Sufficed to say there is a lot of magic and intricacy in the authors writing and you're missing out on a special book if you don't read it! Thanks for the great read and am eager to read more from you. L x๐๐๐๐๐๐

Although I feel the book could have developed things further it suprised me in a good way.
The misogyny of some many of the males in the pack made me grind my teeth.
