Kids don’t get the wit of this book

This book will amuse parents but not kids. It is meant for 5 year olds and under, but they won’t get the wit of the book at all.
It describes a very active little boy who keeps his family on their toes because of his unending energy. There are expressions which are very adorable like - ‘ no couch can stop me’ ‘ I am eco friendly’ ‘ I am static electricity’... but a kid really doesn’t get that.
