5.0 out of 5 starsUnmissable. Heartbreaking. Insightful. BUY THIS BOOK!

I’m just over half way through this book but I couldn’t wait a moment longer to leave a 5 star review.

This is a book for the ages. A masterpiece of contextual thinking. One that makes you feel everything, think differently about everything and bask in the genius and sensitivity of the literary delivery.

I learned about Glennon on Brené Browns podcast, which was beyond interesting, but contained only really a glimpse of her deep insight and inspiring humility.

This book is a collection of stories, metaphors and musings that could not be more relevant to the current socio-cultural climate.

I am learning, growing and feeling deep grace with every page I read.

If you are sitting there trying to decide whether to purchase this book - you must! It is an investment in yourself, your family and your role in the future of humanity.

Thank you Glennon for such a groundbreaking piece of work. 🙏🏻

I only read the book for bookclub and I found it's hard to believe that it has such good online reviews. I appreciate the honesty of the author sharing her lifestories and the interesting angle for the beginning of the book, but the book itself seems lack of content. The structure of the book reminds me of reading these inspirational book. It keeps repeating the same thing in different formats throughout chapters. The language was dull and prosaic.

There is so much collective wisdom in Glennon Doyle’s new book, Untamed - Her writing is truly masterful; her Knowing truly beautiful.
I adore this book for its lessons on life, love, parenting, gender identity, activism, contribution, imagining and vulnerability.
I love that she peels back the layers of social conditioning and welcomes everyone inside....

I don't follow Glennon Doyle and had never heard of her until I watched her on an episode of Shine On with Reese Witherspoon. She said something in that interview that really spoke to me and I ended up purchasing this book on an impulse. I wasn't expecting much, so I was really surprised when I found myself highlighting every other paragraph and re-reading the whole book for the third time in a week. Glennon's words seem to have embedded themselves on my soul, and have me thinking very deeply about who I am, how I feel about my life, and what I want my life to look life. Not what other people tell me I should want, what I actually want. Since reading it I seem to be collecting similar works by other authors, coming across podcasts and blogs that are opening my eyes to some truths about myself that I had previously had no inkling about. It seems to me that reading Untamed has been the key that has unlocked a very deeply hidden part of myself, and I can see deep changes coming into my life. I highly recommend this book to all women, but especially to Mama's who may be struggling with their identities since having babies.

So I have followed Glennon’s journey having first seen her on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday. I enjoyed Love Warrior and in the face of all the life changes she has gone through since then - which I’ve read about online - I was initially unsure whether the book would tell me anything I hadn’t already heard about her story.

I was so wrong.

Quarter of the way through I was texting my best friend saying “you have to read this”. Several pages later I was like “I’ve not even finished it and I’ve already ordered you your own copy”. I read it cover to cover TWICE in one weekend. The second time with a highlighter

What is so great about it?
- her message for women and how easy it is to get trapped in lives that aren’t REALLY who we are
- her message for young girls - and the great story of how Abby coached their daughter through sport that sometimes you have to do hard things that you don’t want to do in order to get to what you DO want
- her message for boys that they owe responsibility to their families and to muck in with all the chores at home
- her message about online porn and what it does to young people’s brains if they’re not taught healthy messages about sex

I could go on. But I won’t. Cos you should hear it from Glennon not me.

It made an immediate difference to me. I got up and out and asked for what I wanted in an area of my life. And lo and behold it looks like I’m gonna get it

Be untamed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Untamed should be compulsory reading at 16

Read this like the quality of your love of self and life and forgiveness depends on it, because it does.

I have gifted this book again and again, I have WhatsApped, emailed, texted and chatted about how this should be compulsory reading at age 16.

I’ve had two fairly life changing epiphanies whilst reading Untamed.

I can not recommend Untamed enough. Please give Glennon and Abby a follow on Instagram- they will lift you and cheer on your Untaming.

Thank you both for sharing your light!

Just wow! A must read. I cried on page 4, then I felt lifted. Then I felt like Glennon was talking to me about me and for me. This is a raw, honest, personal and incredible book that many of us can relate to. And we need more of this courage and openness in the world. Buy this book. Read this book. And realise that you too can live your life as you, vulnerable, courageous and honest. Well done Glennon!

Wow! I think Glennon Doyle is one of the absolute best writers of our time.
I am new to her work and this is the first book of hers that I've read, but THIS. BOOK. IS. EVERYTHING!

It's a book about trust, truth and knowing.
It's a book about removing the shackles of should to be free, wild and untamed.
And it's a book about allowing our children to be brave too.

Untamed is peppered with powerful truth bombs alongside gentle helpful reminders.

I love this book so much and I love Abby and Glennon's love.
I love the encouragement, the 'Aha-moments and wows and nudges, I love the true and authentic realness, the courageous honesty and the recognition and celebration of the Knowing.

Thank you Glennon for reminding us to listen to the knowing nudges and lean away from the self-abandonment. Thank you Abby and Craig and everyone else Glennon thanks in the book for being you.

Knowing that the snow will one day settle offers hope.
What a gift!

4.0 out of 5 stars A powerful book!! Must read for all

Reading this book has been one hell of an experience. It took me a lot of days to read it and absorb everything that Doyle was talking about. After every few pages, I would feel the need to just stop and Breathe and Think about what I had just read.
The book starts with a powerful message:

“For every woman resurrecting herself
For girls who will never be buried."

This book is about women and it will reshape the way you think and you will emerge out of it more in love with yourself than ever. Through stories and incidents from her own life, Glennon Doyle talks about everything we go through in life or maybe will go through as women. She talks about love, self love, religion, sexuality, feminism, forgiveness, politics, being a parent, being a woman, a spouse and it tells us that it is okay to put ourselves first. It is okay to want more and it is okay to be untamed and free.

And when I say her own experiences, I don’t mean something big or special. Just small everyday things, small but meaningful experiences in life that made her realise the person she was meant to be and helped her find the courage to be just herself.
It was a very illuminating experience to go through it all and realise the little traps in our everyday life that keep us tamed and tied up, not letting us realise our own full potential. Or the courage to be ourselves. Without any pretence.
So just read this and experience this journey to self discovery that will only make you embrace yourself for the person you are meant to be and encourage you to live life on your own terms.
Here’s to The Untamed:
May we know them.
May we raise them.
May we love them.
May we read them.
May we elect them.
May we be them.
