Can your favorite hockey players finish their first season together undefeated?
Five months in, NHL forward Ryan Wesley is having a record-breaking rookie season. He's living his dream of playing pro hockey and coming home every night to the man he loves - Jamie Canning, his longtime best friend turned boyfriend. There's just one problem: the most important relationship of his life is one he needs to keep hidden, or else face a media storm that will eclipse his success on the ice.
Jamie loves Wes. He really, truly does. But hiding sucks. It's not the life Jamie envisioned for himself, and the strain of keeping their secret is taking its toll. It doesn't help that his new job isn't going as smoothly as he'd hoped, but he knows he can power through it as long as he has Wes. At least apartment 10B is their retreat, where they can always be themselves.
Or can they? When Wes's nosiest teammate moves in upstairs, the threads of their carefully woven lie begin to unravel. With the outside world determined to take its best shot at them, can Wes and Jamie develop major-league relationship skills on the fly?
Warning: contains sexual situations, a vibrating chair, long-distance sexytimes, and proof that hockey players look hot in any shade of green.

Us picks up 5 months after Wes starting in the NHL, when the 'honeymoon' period appears to have warn thin and one of Wes' team mates moves into the building. This book brings a lot of character and plot development to the story. With the lie of Jamie being Wes' 'roommate' unravelling things are not as happy as they began.
I really enjoyed Wes and Jamie's story. Not just for the romance of it but it addressed the real struggle that gay athletes could face. Being subjected to slurs and judgement based purely on their sexual preference.
We met Ryan 'Wes' Wesley and Jamie Canning in "Him" (book 1), and I couldn't help but love them. This book continued to prove they are both amazing characters. Their chemistry continues in this book, but now we see the strains of the real world on them - when both are travelling for work and they see each other for a few hours every week (or less), Jamie's job isn't what he thought it would be, and when they are still trying to keep their true relationship status a secret for Wes' first year before they go public. When Jamie gets sick and his hospitalised and in quarantine everything starts to fall apart. Jamie isn't used to being so dependent on someone else, and their financial gap puts strain on them too - with Jamie wanting to pay his own way and not accept any money from Wes.
It was a realistic and heartfelt read. The way the characters all react rang true, and I'm definitely interested to follow the series these authors have written on Wes' team mates.
Definitely a book I would recommend!
Highly recommend this series!
Us picks up where Him finished and damn I really was not sure how this was going to end, there were so emotions I felt when reading this, it was nail biting good.
Ryan and Jamie are living together as a couple but they have to keep their relationship quiet for the first season of Ryans hockey career so that he is judged on his hockey skills and not for being gay. Yet when Jamie get sick Ryan doesn’t care about hiding and just need Jamie (who is his only family) to be ok and get better.
Jamie is really struggling after being sick and pushes everyone away and won’t let anyone help including Ryan. When Jamie decides to go home to his parents it devastates Ryan but no matter what he wants Jamie happy.
I seriously recommend that everyone should read this duet a read, it is brilliant and sucks you in. You will get hooked on Ryanks and Jamie’s story that you will want more.
As with Him the sex is fantastic, passionate and educational for a straight gal like me. More so it was educational in the issue of a same sex relationship has to navigate the curiosity and overt interest in their life and sexuality. For me there was nothing negative about this book and complements Him beautifully.
If you enjoyed Him then don’t hesitate to buy this book. If you have not read Him I encourage you to read before reading this.
I have read both books many times which is a sure sign that it is a keeper.

If you've not read book 1 (Him) yet, do so before reading this review.
Having gotten over the hurdles to enter their gorgeous relationship, including Jamie facing he's bisexual... this wonderful pair are living together in Toronto. Only, they're having to keep that quiet as Wes tries to reach the end of his rookie year. But life has a way of throwing curve...pucks!
This story is even more delicious than the first. I need more stars!!
Seriously. So well written. Just enough angst to make it a real page-turner, but with so much loving sweetness between these sturdy guys that it'd melt the ice they skate on.
There's a host of characters, and they're all fab.
Just awesomeness!

First time was a great experience, very different characters whose were lives involved, and evolved, in varying situations that made the story essential to read, remember & fully appreciate. Subsequent readings have meant enjoying and appreciating the humour even more.
Highly recommended

We return not long after the end of Him, with the struggles of maintaining a secret relationship with the added pressure when Wes's teammate the Hilarious Blake (I hate sheep) Riley moves into the building, I loved the dynamics between them & when Jess came into the mix aswell, I can't wait to see where that might lead.
Even though the struggles are there, there's never any doubt that Wes & Jamie Love each other even when communicating that to each other is the problem.
The return of Jamie's Family in this book was lovely as it shows Wes how a family treats loved ones, accepting the relationship & Wes into the family no question. I found the bond between the family to be beautiful especially how Cindy treats Wes. Wes's Family on the other hand could quite frankly take a running jump! I felt so angry towards Wes's father!!!
This book gave me everything I was expecting & more, Love, Humour, Trust, Compassion & A Whole Lot Of Sexiness! I couldn't put it down & would most definitely recommend this book. I hope we get more of Wes, Jamie, Blake & Jess.

I read things a bit askew having started with Good Boy which is the spin off series. Then I read 'Him' and now 'Us' - so I have spent a week with Jamie, Wes and the Canning family. Much like Blake, I don't want to leave......
This book picks up 6 months on from where Him finished and Wes and Jamie are together building a life in Toronto. Watching these two fall more in love did happy things to my heart. Watching them struggle with some things and some people nearly broke said heart.
Despite the sad parts, there seemed to be more humour in this book, largely due to Blake who is hilarious.
The chemistry between Wes and Jamie is intense and HOT. All the sexy stuff is beautifully written but nothing ever overwhelms the stunning love story that Ms Kennedy and Ms Bowen have created.
Read this series. It is worth your time, money and emotion.
