Product description

Review

"Seinfeld settled on being vegan, at times—eating mostly vegan and allowing herself nonvegan food occasionally, but more importantly without shame or judgment. And that’s what this book is so good at—it’s a gentle invitation to try something new, without the condition that you have to do it perfectly."
Goop

Vegan, at Times is the perfect book for anyone who wants to try eating vegan or plant-based but not commit to going all the way, every day.”
The Beet

"
. . . a collection of easy and approachable recipes for anyone who grew up with a protein-and-starches kind of diet as the norm. Seinfeld and her collaborator, Sara Quessenberry, purposefully shopped at mass grocers like Walmart and Target to ensure that all ingredients are easily found, and the recipes make note where store-bought swaps—jarred salsa instead of homemade pico de gallo, for example—are possible."
Glamour

"Jessica shares how to incorporate plant-based eating into one’s life without yet another set of rules, anxiety-producing fear of failure, or family drama. Food dogma is not her jam . . .
Vegan, at Times is filled with practical recipes that have become Jessica’s trademark, and ingredients that won’t send you running to different specialty grocery stores."
Cherry Bombe

"Jessica Seinfeld whips up invigorating and approachable recipes loaded with easy-to-find ingredients, so you can add them to your routine whether it’s 'every day or every so often.' More plants, please!"
Women's Health

". . . a judgement-free book with practical recipes that avoid dairy and meat . . . [that] can be prepared from ingredients at any store and made in 30 minutes or so."
The Associated Press

“Charming collection… These uncomplicated and recognizable recipes don’t scream ‘vegan’…an encouraging push for those ready to take the leap into meatless cooking. The result is a pleasurable and practical guide for testing the vegan waters.”
Publishers Weekly

"Seinfeld’s easygoing approach to vegan food will win over home cooks ready to take the leap into vegan cooking. Highly recommended for anyone preparing meals for a family or group that includes both vegans and non-vegans, as Seinfeld’s appealing range of home cooking favorites has wide general appeal.”

Jessica Seinfeld is the author of four New York Times bestselling cookbooks: DECEPTIVELY DELICIOUS, DOUBLE DELICIOUS, THE CAN’T COOK BOOK, and FOOD SWINGS.

Jessica Seinfeld’s fifth cookbook, VEGAN AT TIMES, is for everyone: those who are vegan for the first time, sometimes, or all the time. The book shows how easy it can be to be a vegan, at times, by cooking flavorful, affordable, and robust plant-based meals whenever you want — whether that’s every day, once a week, or just once in a while.

Jessica is the Founder and Chair of the Board of Good+Foundation, a national nonprofit that uses a multi-generational approach to address family poverty. Good+Foundation’s ground-breaking model meets the short-term needs of mothers, fathers, and caregivers and helps families create pathways for long-term, self-determined success. For over 20 years, the organization has provided goods to encourage families to attend programs that support mothers and create a healthier, happier environment for children through a focus on father engagement.
