I just realised I never wrote my review for this story. Probably because it blew my mind!!! Jewel has a way of writing books that get me to overlook things I rarely do in books, she writes stories where I never know what's going to happen and as much as I rant during her books I secretly love it. This book has one hell of a WTF moment and an ending I could have never guessed. Amazing.

She's fast becoming a favourite author for me.

Lautner Sullivan was always my favourite 'Jewel' hero but Gus Westman has burrowed in and carved out a big chunk of my heart....ugh!

This book was incredible. I went into it not knowing too much yet thinking I knew where the story was going to go, but boy was I wrong! It surpassed all of my expectations and I loved it much more than I was expecting to. This book takes over your life and makes you question EVERYTHING.
The characters were funny, entertaining and witty and Rags was adorable

OMG I cannot tell you how much I love this author!
However, this one is not for everyone. I knew little about this and just jumped in because I love the author, BUT if you have not read any of her books yet, then don’t start with this one! Because forgiveness is necessary and there is cheating involved, so be warned.
I adored all the characters especially Harper. She was highly entertaining as was Rags the dog! LMAO.
I need to be careful here as I do not want to give anything away, but let me say this is one very sexy read. Strong emotions, some tears of sadness and of joy. Jewel threw us a curveball and some might not like this (I am usually one of them) but because I know Jewel, my deflation only lasted a few chapters. She really knows how to push boundaries, and for this reason she is one of my favorite authors. Yet another great read. Give it a go if cheating is not an issue and go in blind. Enjoy the journey.

When a book takes over your life and wrings every emotion possible from you, you know the book is a winner. Love, sadness, yearning, disappointment, happiness, angst - it was all packed into this wonderful story which I loved so much.

The writing was exceptional, the story just perfect and the characters were so believable so likeable and yet they experienced everyday life; the joys problems and heartache it can bring us all. I have no criticism of this book at all, for me it was just perfect.

Parker was a really enjoyable character to read, she is sassy and funny yet vulnerable at times and I really felt for her.
Gus again was really likable also, even though you knew what they might be thinking of doing; I couldn't help but relate to both of their sets of problems that attributed to this book. Secondary characters were excellent too and contributed enormously to the story.

This book gives you everything you could want to enjoy a good story, I found it hard to put down and delighted in all the good and the bad it had to offer. The author takes you along a path of reading where you think you can safety say that you know where this story is going but then she turns the whole lot up on it's head which frankly left me stunned and shocked. It happened so quickly that I didn't even have time to prepare myself for what occurred.

This is a wonderful, charismatic story, full of joy and angst which envelopes the pages of this remarkable book. If one could give it 10 stars I would - just brilliant !!

That was a ride.. I'm not a fan of cheating but the way I fell for the characters in the start of the book I was kinda rooting for them, so sue me....

Then when I'm on board, major bloody twist! I was reeling like how could the author do this to me...

I calmed down and continued reading and I'm glad I did. This all worked out for the best. I loved the way this story was finished, was happy with the outcome, just prepare for all the emotions... and insta love, definitely insta love.

I did enjoy this book.. but some things niggled at me. Parkers sister and Caleb (Parkers ex) really didnt seem fazed about how they had hurt Parker repeatedly.. there seemed to be no guilt.. no consequence for their actions. Its not like Caleb cheated on her with some random woman. He cheated on Parker with her own sister. Her twin no less. Then they have the audacity to move in with Parker and practically rub it her face. Parkers parents dont seem to think this is an issue either. Bizarre. They dont take into account Parker's pain at all and seem surprised she doesnt wanna live close by. Well who would? The excuses they made for their behaviour fell flat too. It was all so cold hearted for me..and yet she was expected to just get over it and forgive. I mean they had no shame..showed no guilt or compassion for the pain they had put her through. Cheating is bad enough.. but so much worse when its your flesh and blood..and worse still when your own parents gloss over the pain you feel from it. Cruel if you ask me. Im kinda upset the other allowed the family to emotionally blackmail Parker in such a way.. without her calling them out on it.

Then all of a sudden because Parker kisses her neighbour.. she accepts what her sister did to her?
While yes she shouldnt have kissed her neighbour but its another thing to sleep with your sisters boyfriend repeatedly..and get pregnant and feel little no remorse for it.
While on the other hand Parker felt immensely guilty for a kiss.

Ive got to admit i did love Gus and Levi..i cant decide between the two of them who i liked the most.

But Parkers sister.. her parents and her ex bf.. umm nope. I very much doubt many of us would want to be close to our sibling had they hurt us that badly much less have them move in with us..
Piper was a heartless witch I'm sorry.

I read a sample of this story that was at the end of another book that I was reading by this author and I liked it so much that I bought it straight away without reading the reviews for it until after it was bought so I was mentally prepared for what happened at around 40% and wasn't emotionally bull dosed when the major event occurred. I think like some of the readers I probably wouldn't have read it if I knew what was going to happen to Gus because I preferred him to Levi. I also would have liked to know who Sabrina was having an affair with and where were she and Gus going when the accident happened. It was an okay read but didn't fulfil my expectation and not one of my favourites from this author.

It's very rare this happens to me when reading a book, but I can say I hated this one. Although the writing style is not what I prefer the plot was good and I was starting to get into it. Then the dude died. Why? After that the plot was all over the place, complicated and unnecessary. There was zero interest for me in getting to know the next love interest. I skim read the rest of the book but it was definitely a flop for me. Such a shame.

So I have to say I'm glad I didn't read some of the reviews on this book beforehand or I probably wouldn't have read this awesome book. I don't agree with them in any way and am baffled at some comments that Gus was better than Levi! Gobsmacked! I loved Levi, he wore his heart on his sleeve and made sure Parker knew she was his whole world.
I hate the way Gus emotionally messed with Parker, it felt very manipulative how he was poor me with Sabrina and his marriage... he could have left! I'm not excusing Parker's involvement but at least she felt guilty he felt no guilt at all. I wish we had found out why he was driving that day. Parker made me laugh so much, for someone so type A she was a total scatterbrain haha! I also think people were harsh on Piper in reviews and yes I agree she went about things the wrong way rubbing it in Parker's face I'm glad she finally explained and Parker got her say. Rags also getting it on with the labrador made me laugh a lot that woman was cracked Hahaha! Defos a good read and made me so happy at the end :-) love this author.

I'm lost for words after reading this one. I can't describe my feelings for these characters without giving spoilers. So I'll just say I absolutely loved this book with a burning passion. It consumed me with its intensity. Such a powerful story that really got under my skin. Not everything is black & white you have to accept the grey in between.

I know lots of people are up in the air over the whole cheating aspect of the story but I say leave your real life morals at the door this is a story not reality. But if you can't separate the two or have strong triggers about it, then this book is not for you.

Parker Cruse is a 26 year old woman who's just starting to get her life under control and stand on her own two feet after being humiliated and betrayed by her twin Sister and so called boyfriend. Her new outlook on life she's hates cheaters.

Parker has to question everything she believes in when she meets her new neighbour Gus Westman the attraction is instant but he's married an immediate red stay away flag for Parker.

A twist of fate puts these two in regular contact when she takes a job working for Gus's wife as a so called assistant, basically doing errands.

Parker gets to see a side of this couple she didn't expect. Yes the Westmans have the perfect happy life together on the outside but Parker sees behind closed doors and that changes everything.

This book has a huge twist that I didn't see coming at all, I had to reread it a few times for it to sink in. It's a major WTF!!!! just happened moment. It completely broke me, I kept thinking this can't be real it has to be a mistake.

Overall this was truly a fantastic story, One of my favourites from this Author.
I love quirky humour when I'm reading, it helps to balance out the emotional side. One minute I'm crying the next I'm giggling like a lunatic. I love books that bring out ALL the feels and this Author does it perfectly.

My motto for the story - When Life Happens, grab it by the balls and don't let go.
