Electric. You have to run the tumbler for a month minimum to polish stones. These are a great price and work very well

Hello, if you buy directly from the manufacturer it does come with the AU plug, the seller is listed as "National Geographic Learning Toys". If you purchase from the seller Amazon.com, it ships from the US and has the US plug.

If no response the motor could be shot but as with mine they do slow down over time from the constant use or stain on the motor from pulling the wheel by the tumbler being over weighted. Yes, it comes with a spare drive belt. The belt on the tumbler, when in use, is not under any great tension so should last a long time. Replacements would be available from a commercial/industrial supplier stocking "O" rings.

I haven't heard of any bigger barrels and there is nothing about them in the literature.

mine has done the same thing ,i think it over heated from to many rocks , i just pulled the plug at the back and pluged it back in after a minute and it worked try not to put to many rocks in the tumbler
