Yes you can. This series of devices can play any Amazon origines play: music, videos and Audible. You can try items sourced from elsewhere as it all depends on where you and your device is located; copyright and all that.

Check that you haven’t turned the microphone off, if there’s a little red line at the base of the screen- push the first left hand button to unmute Alexa

No it does not but as soon as electricity comes back on the Echo automatically sets back to the correct time.
