Even though there were a few minor assembly issues, the unit was set up within an hour or two. The bum massager (a separate bolt-on unit) worked brilliantly for a few minutes, but then a bolt vibrated loose and the nut was free to float about inside. I was tempted to open it up and fix the problem, but didn’t want to void my warranty. The company, Artiss Furnishing, didn’t argue, and immediately sent me a replacement unit. Impressed.
The treadmill itself works very well despite a few noises from the spring mechanism, and as a manufacturer of machinery for 25 years, I cannot understand how they can build such a machine, and ship it from China, and deliver it to me in Northern New South Wales...for the all-up price of $759, with all participants in the supply chain presumably making a profit. It demonstrates how far behind Australia is in terms of cost of manufacture and sales.
