It took me a little to get in to this book as the hapless protagonist was incredibly frustrating. But persist - as once you find out more about her and the circumstances that have brought her to where she is, you come to love her and hope desperately that she gets the happy ending she deserves. I also love the way she seizes control back for herself and the messages of female solidarity and friendship (and could Kitty please make a reappearance in another novel? She’s fab!) Lovely, funny and a weeny bit tear jerking.
