A good holiday read about a world of money most of us can not enter.

A fun read about totally unbelievably rich Asians. There were some funny sections. There are also really well written characters. Family relationships are put under the spotlight by a group of super rich families spread around the centres of successful Asians. (HK, Singapore etc). The judgments made on women's jewellery, clothing etc are probably found in any group but I don't know any one who thinks you are slipping down to poverty if your fortune goes under the $1billion mark. I hope they were discussing things in Singapore dollars but I wasn't sure.
The book was called a comedy in one comment I read. There is so much more to it than this. Take away the incredible wealth and we have a story of families every where. Mothers wanting to arrange good marriages. Girls being catty about a new group member. Business deals to make a quick profit. Every one trying to impress the others with their success in life. Sounds familiar? It is.
