4.0 out of 5 starsGood luck reading this - heavy going.
Reviewed in Australia on 27 July 2020
Not at all what I expected. Very in depth, heavy going material. Best to research if this is what you are looking for. First edition was apparently written in the 1950's, and updated in the 1970's.

1.0 out of 5 stars New condition my ass

Product was advertised as new, however, the condition upon arrival suggest it clearly wasn’t. The side of the back cover was weathered and there are black marks/stains all along the edge of the pages. DISAPPOINTED!

1.0 out of 5 stars I’m sure the book is great but the quality is really poor - looks used
Reviewed in Australia on 22 October 2019

Can’t comment on the content as I haven’t read it yet - but the quality of the book is really poor. Edges are all bent and plastic is tearing off the cover. Looks like a cheap copy of the actual edition or second hand. Would go with the kindle version or a different supplier next time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not recommended! Good book but the printing is horrible.

Good book but the printing is horrible. It is missing letters, blurry and a lot of the pages are not even inline with the page! Meaning there is an angle for the text line and the page line! Wouldn’t recommend to buy from this supplier! Some of the text are printed inside of the joint! Unbelievable!!

Lesen Sie stattdessen vielleicht lieber "The Most Important Thing" oder "Winning the Losers' Game".

1.0 out of 5 stars The rating is for Jason Zweig's commentary. It has ruined this book.
Reviewed in Canada on 30 May 2020

I had read the original book by Graham in mid-2000s having borrowed it from the local library. It was a pure delight. Five stars wouldn't be enough stars for that.

I could only find this one with "commentary by Jason Zweig" when I wanted to buy one. Having bought it, I am regretting it. All the important foot-notes have been moved to the end. Instead, at the bottom of the pages there is a lot of pointless and mindless commentary by Mr. Zweig throughout the book. Often, his commentary takes up half a page or more below the original text. And as if that was not enough, there is an entire chapter of commentary after each original chapter. Talk about verbose! I tried very hard to just ignore the commentary and read the book, but there is way too much of it.

But the kicker is this. Here is a summary of Mr. Zweig's commentary for you : "don't buy stocks, buy index funds over a long period of time." There, how much space is needed for that?

1.0 out of 5 stars This isn't the copy you're looking for, get the green one.

Half of this book is commentary by some journalist called Jason Zweig adding his useless opinions onto Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffet's time tested recipes for success. I don't give a damm about the opinions of a journalist and neither does my portfolio. I should've paid more attention to the fine print at the bottom of the cover in a gold coloured font that blends in that says that this is "updated with new commentary by Jason Zweig" I feel completely cheated and ripped off buying this book as it's obviously marketed for people interested in Warren Buffett and Benjamin Graham but some loser journalist is ripping off their names and has filled about half this book with his useless opinions. WHAT A RIP OFF! I wish I could return this garbage but it's way past the 30 day mark.
