The recipes that I have made so far have all been seriously lacking in flavour. I have a number of Jamie's books and love them but this one is seriously lacking. The garlic bread scrolls made from light cream cheese rather than butter taste like a healthy alternative and the rice that went with it took some serious work to bring it back from extremely bland. Really disappointed that the focus seems to have moved away from the best flavour and into more of a healthy eating format. I understand that you dont always have to sacrifice flavour to eat well but unfortunately in this book, you do.
Disappointed. Mainly fish or vegetarian recipes. Not what I expected. this is the second Jamie Oliver book in a row I've been disappointed in . I thought the last one was his lockdown recipes as it suggested but it wasn't. Don't think I will buy Jamie Oliver's books anymore.
Jamie's 3 most recent books have really hit the mark. This one however for me is nowhere near as good. Layout is poor, I prefer sections such as light bites, fish, chicken etc as it makes it easier to find a single course. This is set in 3 courses, then into seasons. Some recipes look very familiar to previous books. Lovely photographs but returning as I have struggled to post it note more than 3 recipes.
