How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Not the greatest book I've ever read, but interesting both as a Foo Fighters fan, and the Mum of a creative, 'unfocused', can't-sit-still kid much like Virginia describes!

Interesting book but repetitive in some parts. Definitely worth a read. She’s definitely the Foo Fighters biggest fan which is incredible cute throughout

I'm a huge fan of Dave Grohl...this is a book written by his mother, who has interviewed mothers of other rock and roll musicians. Some good pictures inside, but the book itself wasn't very interesting to me.

I love Dave and Foo Fighters so I thought I'd check out Dave's mom's book...it's ok. I thought the premise was interesting but it turns out that I wasn't super interested in most of the moms, lol. Maybe it was that their stories didn't come across as very interesting or maybe it was just me. It's an ok read but I skipped several of the chapters that I just couldn't make myself care about.

How can you not dig Dave Grohl? I saw them on Colbert and ordered the book post haste. But, for the first time in, well, almost ever, to my memory, I found myself skipping chapters. When the cover says, 'rock stars', I was expecting rock music stars. Instead, the majority of the chapters are about musicians/bubblegummers/rappers who I just simply do not care about. This book is probably more suited for someone in their 20s or younger. Us old 50ish rockers, perhaps not so much. Your mileage may greatly vary. Just me 2 cents.

Interesting stories, but the short vignettes in between the various chapters were the best part.
