5.0 out of 5 starsFunny optimistic triplet drama
Reviewed in Australia on 1 April 2017
This is not my absolute favourite book from Liane Moriarty, but it's still an excellent read. It has all the good ingredients of 'Big Little Lies' and 'What Alice Forgot' including love hate sibling relationships and lots of very funny moments. It feels so much like real life, almost like your own memories. Being one of several Irish sisters I have actually had a fork stuck in me by an angry sister, as happens in the wonderful opening scene.

Three triplets having their annual birthday dinner in a restaurant have an ugly fight that ends up with trips to the hospital. Gemma, Cat and Lyn are all facing life events. Cat is trying to deal with her husband's infidelity. Gemma is damaged by a past relationship and Lyn can't stop being a superwoman. The themes of having children, not having children, trust and betrayal run though this book. It's not a downer though, on the contrary it's very funny and optimistic. Highly recommended.

This is the third Liane Moriarty book I’ve read, and my least favourite. Couldn’t warm to the characters as I have before.
So much drama is rather tiring. Couldn’t stop reading it though, wanted to see how certain situations were resolved.

Not sure if i was in the wrong frame of mind but i didn't enjoy this. Hard to follow. Characters not easy to follow. Jumped around a bit too much with not enough lightness to keep it moving. I did push on and finish but the ending did not lift me either. I was disappointed add i have enjoyed other books from moriarty

A pleasant read. Rather confusing at first, still don't get the relevance to the title. Liked the interactions between the sisters

2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing

I have read and enjoyed some of Liane Moriarty's books before which was why I decided to purchase this one. However, this one achieved nothing of the quality of the others in my view. I found myself a third of the way through and still waiting for something to happen. As far as I could see, the book consisted mainly of the diarised ramblings of three not particularly pleasant women. I found myself not caring what happened to any of them, so skipped chapters to the end. Very disappointing.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ok. Not great. Don't expect too much.

Struggled between 2 & 3 stars. Took 4 attempts to get into this book. 3 annoying women and not much story line. Book could have been half the size. Filled with pointless rubbish you didn't need to know about. I don't know. Just did not care what happened. With no big finale; all seemed .... a let down. I think there are better books out there with actual storylines.

I usually enjoy Liane Moriarty books, but this one was rather mixed up and not her usual style of writing.

Pity but I struggled to get in to this book. I’ve never read anything from this author before and was looking forward to trying something new, but after four chapters I was still struggling; maybe because the main characters are triplets? I’m not sure really but I just couldn’t follow it. Will try again when I have more time on my hands, but was disappointed.

As I have not finished the book not sure where it will go. It's a bit like wading through treacle, hard going, at the moment. Not much substance. The "Husbands sercret was brilliant. This not a patch on it. Will keep plodding on and who knows, it could turn a corner. Fingers crossed

2.0 out of 5 stars Three Wishes a little disappointing

I've previously read books by Liane and really enjoyed them (The Husband's Secret, Big Little Lies and What Alice Forgot) but found Three Wishes lacking in depth and intrigue. It was an easy to read book which didn't require much concentration but didn't really capture my interest that well it certainly wasn't a 'can't put it down read.' I won't let it put me off reading another book by this author but will choose more carefully next time.

I usually love Liane Moriarty, but this book let me down. It was readable but just annoying with the way it felt quite disjointed and kept jumping around time wise. Could have been much better, I felt.
