There were some messages in this book that chimed with me and I agree that by having a better awareness of ourselves, better appreciation of our worth and living in thr moment etc. can lead to a happier, healthier life. However, I found some parts of the book to be over-simplifed - the little things, like- just learn to let things go; just move on; do your washing on a set day to get your environment right. I'm not sure that it always takes it the complexities of different peoples contexts at all times and also it does always offer the practical steps to help us do that. It does however pose some big questions that are worth thinking about.
i enjoyed the first third or so of the book, and gained a lot of insight into processing emotion. The rest of the book was either poorly organized, redundant, or poorly developed 'stream of conscious' ideas ~ even contradictory in some instances. Lacks structure.
As I stated in the title, if you have read other self help books, this honestly has nothing to offer you. I quickly lost interest when I discovered the content was not original. If it's the only self help book you'll be reading, it's likely a good investment of your ti
An amazing read and very insightful but i got about 10 pages in and a page fell out and pretty much every 10 pages of this book another page would fall out. The book is pretty cheaply made so that it doesn’t stay in one piece no matter how gently you handle it, kind of sad about that part because i’d love to reread this a few times but it’s just frustrating trying to keep all the pages in it.
