Only had a chance to use this a couple of times, it wasn't as adhesive as I was lead to believe but that wasn't a claim made by the product maker. I used this to cover blisters post treatment, provided some comfort cushioning but wasn't great.
It's good as what it is but for the price I won't get again it came in a plastic bag the was ripped no box at all and then was soaked when it came to me so I expect it won't stick as well as it originally would it still does tho.
Bought this to prevent blisters on my heels. Tried it out on an hour long walk yesterday and, while it did stop me from getting blisters where it was applied, the friction from the shoe rubbing against it wore away the fabric and left adhesive all over the inside of my sock. Do not recommend for this purpose and not sure what I’m going to do with this $17 roll of tape now :(
It works fine for the blister and only comes off when you want it to. As it turns out I had an allergic reaction with the adhesive! My advise is to slap a piece on you arm for a couple days before going out to see if anything happens.
Used on a thru hike for blister prevention and it did well in that respect. Sticks very well and acts as a "second skin" to protect from chafing. Stayed on and worked well even after spontaneous dips into ponds/rivers followed by more hiking. My complaint is that after the hike (nothing happened during for some reason) I broke out in a terribly itchy rash that almost looked like a chemical burn. I'm not allergic to latex so my thought is that it's something in the adhesive. I did apply it in the morning, and remove it upon entering camp almost everyday for 25 days but the rash and itchiness continued for nearly 2 weeks. Very unpleasant. Nothing like glowing red rectangles on your skin to celebrate a thru hike. Yay...
Perhaps I had high expectations when I bought this tape which I planned to use in the backcountry. I have been using this tape for two years now and here is my review; 1. I use this tape for blister prevention and find duct tape more efficient at a better price. I need tape that will stick in place through long days of hiking, including sloshing through rivers. Leukotape is less persistent than duct tape for this use case 2. The motivator for this review is using Leukotape in the snow. This is probably an edge case but I found that in freezing conditions the adhesive on this tape sticks comes off the tape as I unroll it. I had to warm it with my body heat before unrolling it so the adhesive would stay on the tape.
Bottom line. This is not the sports tape for all tough all weather conditions
Have used this product on everything up to a 100 mile ultra run w lots of water crossings. Very sticky and works well preventing blisters but the adhesive will seep through the exterior fabric and cling to the sock. Also, leaves sticky residue on the skin when i pull it off. I’m interested to try a different brand.
