5.0 out of 5 starsGreat Australian womens' fiction.
Reviewed in Australia on 21 June 2019
Liane Moriarty writes women's fiction with a voice we can all understand.
Hypnotherapist, Ellen, has pretty much given up on the idea of having a life-long loving relationship, when she meets widower and single dad, Patrick.
Surveyor, Patrick has been alone since a disastrous break-up with Saskia, a relationship that was a mistake, coming too soon after his wife's death. But Saskia can't let it go and has been stalking Patrick and his young son, Jack, ever since the break-up.
As Ellen's relationship with Patrick deepens, she realises that Saskia has been a client under an assumed name and the stalking is escalating.
With a future to plan for, Patrick and Ellen are at their wits end with unexpected break-ins and threats to Ellen's reputation.
When things literally come crashing down, it forces everyone to refocus on their futures.
I couldn't put this book down. A great read!

I enjoyed reading this book but it didn't blow me away like 'Big Little lies', 'The Husband's Secret' and most of all, 'Truly, Madly, Guilty'.

I read this book expecting things to fall apart that didn’t and the resolution of various situations were also surprising.
Worth reading, and discovering the trials and tribulations of the various characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Confronting

I was deeply impacted by the author's insightful journey to the confronting reality of domestic violence in regards to the male victim and the underlying truth that society conditions us to be less understanding of their pain. At times I felt frustrated with the lack of intervention which is often the case in the real world...

I enjoyed reading this novel, getting to know the life of a stalker and a hypnotherapist. Not very fast paced but was still a great read, like all her other book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another great story by Liane. She writes as if I am there!

I really enjoyed this book. It took me a while to get into it, but once I was invested I enjoyed it. I also like that Moriarty uses interesting characters in her books, with either interesting occupations or some form of dysfunction. It feels so normal that its like just having an interlude from my own life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Liane Moriarty Story

I am never disappointed with Moriarty's books. I love the fact that they are relatable and yet still a good story. Moriarty always has a (or many) strong female characters. Even the 'unsympathetic' female characters have redeeming characters and you can understand their point of view.

Loved it. Great style of writing. One a perspective from the main character, than wham, from om the perspective of the nemesis . I am a guy and it was well told story , for men or woman , the tale was good . Five stars from me , and not just because like me , the author is Australian , but rather , it was a good story.

Not Moriarty’s best book. I expected more of a twist at the end to explain Sakias odd behaviour. The story was ordinary and predictable. It only just held my attention but I stuck with it because I enjoy Liane Moriarty,s writing style.
