UPDATE: After using it for a bit (not that long, less than a month iirc) it started to occasionally register erroneous additional steps on one of the arrows when lifting my foot. Which is still OK for very, very casual use I suppose, but not good when trying to get a higher score. So I have removed two stars.

Original review:
The mat works fine. I haven't had any problems with it.

It works with all the "Dance Dance Revolution" and "Dancing Stage" games on the Wii.

I have also tried the mat with the game "Dancing Stage Mario Mix", which can be played on the Wii (The Wii is backwards compatible with GameCube games.) The mat works fine with that game as well. The minus button (-) on the mat functions as the GameCube Z button, and the plus button (+) functions as the GameCube start button.

The mat does not work with games like the "Just Dance" series which do not use dance mats.

The mat only works with the original version of the Wii, the model which has four GameCube controller ports on the top, under a flap. The connector on the dance mat plugs into one of the GameCube sockets.

The mat will not work with the later Wii models, the Wii Family Edition and Wii Mini, which have no GameCube ports. All DDR dance mats are incompatible with these models of Wii.

the pad really works great and we've had fun playing dance dance revolution but the cord is only about 6 ft and we had to put foam flooring down to keep it from sliding on the carpet ...
