I LOVE the My Weird School series so I was excited when they came out with a back to school version. This was cute because it was told from the point of view from a secondary character (Andrea). It's a little misleading because the kids are really just finishing up their summer. None of the book actually takes place in their school. There is also a section in each chapter that is written in cursive, which will be challenging for my students to read on their own- since we no longer teach cursive!
This book is amazing as usual but it doesn't become amazing until aj comes into the sense because the part where Andrea blabbers about punctuation is kinda boring. It's funny how aj and Andrea constantly fight and how aj gets lost in the clothes store and says: your face is disgusting! To Andrea. Don't listen to anyone who says this is inappropriate because it's not
I chose this rating because I don't like this point of view and how Andre thinks that A.J. is her boyfriend. She always thinks she is correct. I like it when Andreas isn't correct and I don't like the point of view. I recommend this book to people who are okay with being different and reading different points of views.
