The set is recommended for ages 3+ ... that's no good. My 3 year old made easy work of the packaging since the plastic panels pop right out and then she's playing with sharp plastic. And i swear I read a bunch of reviews and was under the impression that this was a pretend makeup kit, but 5 minutes after opening it, my little one was covered in the hot pink lip balm and gooey glittery lip gloss. Plus, the little cases for the blush and eye shadow are really hard to open (that's why she snaps out the plastic panels), and the eye shadow applicator broke after a few minutes as well.
Maybe an older child would enjoy this set, 4 or 5, but my 3 year old destroyed it within minutes.
