I purchased this specifically because it was made in the USA and I try to steer away from cosmetics made in China for my kids. Gave it as a birthday gift and my daughter just opened it and was so excited to paint her nails, as you can see they are completely dried out and crusty. One swipe of the powdered makeup products didn't show much pigment but I'm kind of ok with that for little ones. Super bummed about the nail polish!

My daughter was disappointed with this set because the makeup barely showed on her face. The lipsticks could not be seen at all and the other things could barely be seen. This probably should have been titled a pretend set. There are things that look and feel like makeup in it but don’t look like anything once applied. It’s great for toddlers and young kids, albeit with supervision, because a mess can possibly be made.

This make-up kit is as advertised - something for children. Make It Up, the company behind this product, markets the product as pretend play, even as the make up is real. It isn't high quality and may disappoint older children, but for those too young to know the difference, it is a decent enough product. I'm not a fan of a stater kit of makeup for young girls, but that's just me.
