An excellent perspective

Written a long time ago in 1937, so some of the language used might be strange by todays standards and the events/persons named you might not know, but the overall message is pure gold. You dont have to take everything literally, or like/understand every chapter, but the overall message of thinking and staying positive, to fight and see things through until you succeed is all that matters.

Unfortunately, the text in this particular version of this influential book is much too small to read comfortably.
Pages are poorly formatted - Doesn't even start each Chapter on a new page.
It is an insult to the knowledge contained within!

Seeking a positive mental attitude and how I might acquire one brought me here.
This could easily be subtitled -How to succeed and still be a decent person.
Some of the examples and stories don't date well, there's even some pretty kooky far out thoughts among the wisdom but this is a very good, useful book to pick yourself up again or get started and I strongly recommend it

I was directed to this book by a former colleague of mine. We were both in Real Estate Sales; I, a newcomer, and my colleague, a seasoned veteran of the industry. My colleague had told me that this book was one that "should be read by everybody in the industry." I jumped onto Google to suss it out a little more before I made the purchase. The books has high reviews by some of the most successful people on the planet. Jordan Belfort himself recommends this book as if it were an offshoot to the Bible.

I soon purchased this book and began reading. Following the instructions given by the author, I completed each chapter with admiration. There is a stage, midway through, where I think the author starts to drift off from his initial direction but soon seems to recollect it all back together. It is filled with insightful, legitimate stories of people who made it big by following the principles contained within this book. It does not seem to imply that these actual successful people used the actual book to become who there were -since the book was published after some of these events- but more so that the book itself is a collection of the way these successful people thought and acted to achieve their successes.

I truly believe anyone, of all ages, of any industry can benefit greatly from reading this book and more so if they read it in the way that the author initially directs them to. A great and entertaining read but even more of a greatly inspiring and motivating lesson.
