Good grip and fit, not a lot of padding

The fit over the seat is great and the grip it adds to the seat is fantastic. It doesn't solve all issues though. I tend to get some numbness in my glutes/quads after rowing for 40-60 mins and while this cover helps it doesn't eliminate the issue. If you are looking for more of a cushion then this probably isnt right for you.

Too Firm for Comfort

A nice heavy duty seat cover, but provides no additional padding to original seat. Feels just as firm and hard as the Concept 2 seat, so don't buy this expecting a softer seat.

What does work well is adding a piece of 1/8"-1/4" closed cell foam or packing foam under this seat cover. The seat cover holds the foam in place and adds just the right amount of extra cushion.

I bought this for my Concept 2 rowing machine, which has just about the hardest, smallest, most unforgiving seat you can imagine. This cover improved it somewhat, but not enough, so I also purchased a pad made for the seat and put the pad between the seat and this cover. Still not great, but better... I can at least row 5km now without my butt going numb.

It does increase comfort, but it's kind of over-priced for what it is. It's a hollow, silicone shell a little over 1/4 inch thick. Silicone doesn't cost that much so you're probably paying a premium because it's "rowing". Don't get me wrong - it is comfortable for longer workouts, just not really $50 comfortable in my opinion. If you are looking for cushioning, then just use a firm pillow.
