Bought these for one of the switches that wore out on our countertop ice cube maker. We were looking for ones with a flat switch and not rounded but we wanted the switch to arrive sooner than those. It was easily installed and worked great without having to change the curve in the switch.

Purchased Shark Rotator NV501 in 2015.
I am quite happy with the vacuum cleaner, its design, handling, and overall performance.

One day in 2018 the brush stopped spinning.

1. the suction motor would come on when I hit the main power switch.
2. the green light under the top canister Brush-Roll switch cap would come on when I pressed it.
3. the white led’s (headlights) on the beater brush assembly would light up.
But, the following did not work…
A. the brush would not spin when I lowered the handle
B. the Green Brushroll indicator light (LED) on the lower beater brush assembly would not light up

I sent an email to Shark and have not received any response. I called the customer support to inquire about the warranty repair of the vacuum cleaner.
I was told that the there is a limited warranty and I have to send the entire lower part of the cleaner to them and the cost of the repair would be about $80 plus $20 shipping and handling.
I "Goggled" Shark repairs and with the great explanation from SilverFoxDonBlog and YouTube video from Tech Angel I was able to determine that there is a faulty micro switch that activates the “Brushroll” Green indicator light (on the lower beater brush assembly) AND the beater brush motor when you lower the Vacuum handle.
I found the micro switch KW4-3Z-3 on Amazon for cost of $5.59 for 5 of them.
Received, installed one and the vacuum cleaner operates as new.
The micro switch and the Amazon delivery was great. The Shark customer service/warranty not so!

Perfect replacement for bad limit switch in Igloo countertop ice maker. The original limit switch contacts and spring mechanism all broke. This little limit switch feels stronger and I anticipate it to last much longer. It is better built and designed than the original equipment of the manufacturer. Of the many times I have repaired countertop ice makers, this is the first time I've had to replace a limit switch. When this limit switch failed it caused the motor to over torque and turn too far breaking the ice basket shaft. With this quality limit switch installed I should not have that problem again unless the opposite limit fails. I will buy this switch again if I ever use up the remaining four that came in the shipment. Thank you for providing a good product.

Fixed my ice maker like a charm

I bought these to fix my Igloo Portable Ice Maker. After hunting online for my problem a few sources showed it could be caused by one of two of these switches wearing out. It just took 2 screws to take the old, broken one out and to put the new one in.

I did fry the first one while soldering the wires to it, but was more careful the second time. That was completely my fault as the clicky-ness worked fine before my bad soldering and the second one worked perfectly. Glad it comes in a 5-pack to cover my mistake and I'll have spares if the problem happens to the second switch I didn't need to replace at this time. Saved me a ton of money compared to having the unit repaired or having to buy a new one.
