I have purchased a set in the past and can not go without them anymore!
Protects your controller and provides extra grip/ real estate for your thumbs.

They are dear but, the quality means they last a good amount of time.

I bought these thumb sticks at the end of February for my PS5 controller as I had preferred to have my left stick low and right stick high for FPS games, they were great until they weren’t - within 3+ months they discoloured pretty horribly (no I don’t use my controller with dirty hands), the left stick grip completely got worn out and is actually coming off (I’m assuming the glue/adhesive has worn out) which has made it more or less unusable.
I don’t play any games that require vigorous movement of the thumb sticks so I’m disappointed that it got worn out so quickly, especially from someone that I thought was the industry lead in this sort of product.

Great for FPS games

Bought these after seeing all the hype on YouTube, they are easy to install (just pop-over the existing thumb sticks) and you are ready to go.

It does take a while to get used to them (at least a couple of games/hours) but once you do you’ll find it impossible to go back to playing without them.

They offer more precision and range of motion which is exactly what you want in games like CoD WarZone, I’ve not tried them for other games but imagine they may offer benefits across a multitude of different gaming genres.

They only negative is that they are white and seem to be a magnet for looking dirty (especially when the kids use them), although they do wipe clean and have stayed reasonably white.

I have arthritis but I'm also addicted to playing FPS games like Battlefield.
These helped so much with controlling the aim /running in game. Also I wasn't straining thumbs and also able to keep up and compete more with some the insane players out there.
...BUT!
When I toke them off the controller (ps5)
And put them on another controller.
They didn't stay on the same again
First the left one was loose and making me over extned or keep running furhter than needed.
And with alot of online play games that can be frustrating when something else other than the games itself distracting you to look away from screen and keep adjusting.
I even slipped them off on to 2nd controller carefully
There's other brands that use a sorta rubber to attache the sticks to the controller. And that makes so much more sense.
These have 3 little bit sof plastic that attached to the controller. And this is a design flaw. Once they removed there not going to fit the same again. Shame for price that they haven't addressed this! There's others brands cheaper that offer the same extension for play and they attache perfectly and so much cheaper.

Tiny thumbs

My dirty, sweaty, pathetic excuse for "man hands" or thumbs in this case have always caused issues with using controllers. My hands are just too damn small, literally any controller, even at the seaside arcade or using the humble desktop mouses... too small. So by adding a tiny amount of height to my thumbsticks (let's be honest any amount of "growth" is on a man's wish list) has meant i've been able to at least attempt to play Call of Duty - i'm still rubbish but at least my thumbs don't hurt... they also get discoloured very quickly - but again this is probably down to my personal hygiene habits and them being white...

Great grippy stick toppers, essential for PS4 thumb sticks

I had some other KontrolFreek stick toppers, which eventually wore down after about 3 years and lots of use. Actually, one set wore down / became unstuck where the plastic that hooks on to the control stick became unglued from the rubber top, but the other set are still going. I decided to try these next. The design is simple and not garish or flashy like many of the other designs. They are easy to install and remove, and offer excellent grip and comfort compared with the standard controller's thumb sticks on their own. Yes, they might seem a little expensive, but they are a quality product that should last years before needing to be replaced.

I found these to be a waste of money, my other half wanted them; and he doesn't even use them ! They are now lost somewhere in the house as they never got used....
I did try using them when i got them and my thumb's really started aching after about 20 mins of gaming... soft yeah, grib okay, I expect these are good if you've got long thumbs

These KontrolFreeks are great for COD; helping keep a steady aim so in that respect they are worth the money. However, as someone who is a moderate gamer, these get around 10 months usage before requiring some glue as the top on my left stick will tear. This will then get you to a year after which you need to replace, as by then the tops have worn out too. If you look at like a yearly subscription then it's not so bad.

Also, if you've never used anything like this before, it does take some getting used to but it's worth it. Short term pain, long term gain.
