I don't have Satelite TV and was intrigued by the idea of a series as I like the books. However as others have noted, this doesn't bear much relation to the novels. But...To me that hasn't really mattered ("BONES" anyone?). This is a run of the mill cop show with powerful advantages over some. Yes, I mean Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander, and Bruce Mcgill and everyone, even Lorraine Bracco, who could normally overact with the best of them, but here is relatively restrained. Together the stars hold the series together and make it watchable, but without them...I honestly probably wouldn't bother. Just to be contrary, I await series 2 with almost baited breath. Maybe they will sort out the plots. The prints are good quality and there are the usual "making of" and Bloops extras. I can't give it 5 stars, but 4 is fair.

Ich finde die Serie stark, da sie mal was anderes bietet.
Angefangen von der Hauptbesetzung die doppelt weiblich besetzt ist - was ich sehr stark finde.
In manchen Serien erhält man das Gefühl das eine Person nur wegen einem oder zwei Faktoren gecastet wurden. Hier passt die Besetzung von Haupt- zur Nebenbesetzung sogar bis zu den kleineren Rollen.

Was ich ebenfalls super finde ist, dass hier in der Serien (obwohl natürlich wegen "Hollywood" überspitzt dargestellt) die Handlungen (z.B. Teamarbeit statt ein Held rettet alle) nachvollziehbar und realistischer dargestellt werden.
Erwartet aber nicht eine absolut realitätstreue Serie.

Alles in allem ist Rizzoli & Isle eine gute Serie die ein netter Zeitvertreib ist.

Anfang mit Serien Höhepunkt.

Untypisch für eine Kriminalserie ist, dass zwei Frauen über dreißig die Hauptrollen spielen. Der letzte Bulle in weiblich und Quincy als Frau aber charmant und nicht mürrisch. Noch untypischer ist, dass der Hauptgegner von Detektiv Jane Rizzoli gleich auf der Bildfläche erscheint mit viel Brimborium innerhalb der ersten Folgen sogar fast zur Strecke gebracht wird. Dazwischen immer wieder "normale Folgen" aber was ist schon Normal bei diesem Team.
Insgesamt ist die erste Staffel dieser Serie besser als die große Masse der Krimi Serien, obwohl es auch Rizzoli und Isles an Realität mangelt. Für Fernsehserien typisch, muss alles größer spektakulärer sein, als die Realität. Leider. Es wäre vielleicht die Gelegenheit gewesen.

This is a great police/medical examiner show, from the US, based on the Tess Gerritsen books. The characters are Detective Jane Rizzoli, and Medical Examiner Maura Isles, who both happen to be best friends, and also work together to solve crimes, along with a cast of characters who keep the show moving along at a good clip. It is well acted, well written and well directed and fun to watch. Would definitely recommend this series if you enjoy a good, well done cop show. :D.
