Excellent 60W USB and USB-C Charger

I needed a second charger for my brand new 2020 macbook m1. The official apple one is very expensive and it doesn't even come with additional ports so I looked at alternatives. I've owned heaps of Anker products in the past and found them to be very well built and excellent value for money.

I now use this to:
- charge my 2020 MacBook Pro M1
- charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
- charge my Nintendo Switch

I highly recommend this.

Does not charge a MacBook Pro or iPad Pro

I was hoping this power supply would offer the same performance as the Apple one plus have some useful USB charging ports. Unfortunately it doesn't do either of those jobs. The supply current to the MacBook Pro is limited to 5W which is nowhere near enough to power the laptop while in use. Instead the battery discharges. I was also using a USB port to charge an iPad Pro as recommended by the manufacturer, but that also does not supply enough current to keep the device charged while in use. I contacted Anker about this and did not receive a reply.

Doesn't charge multiple devices!

It's a 5 port Anker charger (purchased on sale for $45), but plugging in 3 iPads into the USB ports to charge them overwhelms the charger! The cables aren't the problem as they work perfectly fine on a variety of other chargers around the house. It's clearly an issue with how this charger attempts to regulate power out of the outlets. Old iPad Air2's.... hardly massive power draws.

It has FOUR USB ports and one USB-C port. With nothing plugged into the USB-C, and only 3 lightning cables plugged into any of the 4 available USB ports (it doesn't matter which), it refuses to charge the 3rd device you plug in. It rapidly turns off and on on that last port. Doesn't matter which device or which cable I use, it's always the last one plugged in.

Clearly a fault, but still very disappointing quality testing prior to sale which makes me very hesitant to purchase or receive a new Anker charger.

I'd avoid... waste of time. Amazon's return service is painless, but still a pain to have to go to post office to return a poor quality item.

USB C PD Does Not Work!!

As others have said. Was using this as a spare charger. Only used it a few times.

Not sure if I got a bad batch but the USB PD worked on my Lenovo T470s and Microsoft Surface Book 2 then just stopped working.

I thought it might be the cable, so I bought a genuine Anker USB PD cable and it still does not work!

Does not charge MacBooks. I tried “resetting” - on their website Anker blame “your device’s power protection” feature for their not being able to charge - resetting doesn’t help.

Moreover, plugging the same cable immediately after Anker’s failure, without any “resetting”, into the Apple charger starts charging the battery without any problems. Waste of money and especially time - hours spent replugging everything several times plus now more time will be wasted for the return.

not charging my devices properly

for a year it worked well. I bought this so i could charge all my equipment at once, but when i plug all 5 devices in the it stops charging. I take it off charge for 30 minutes and put it back on and once all devices charging again stops. seems to be fine charging 2 devices but with all 5 parts used it seems to break and needs to reset. these devices are low power so im not sure whats going on
