Excellent 60W USB and USB-C Charger

I needed a second charger for my brand new 2020 macbook m1. The official apple one is very expensive and it doesn't even come with additional ports so I looked at alternatives. I've owned heaps of Anker products in the past and found them to be very well built and excellent value for money.

I now use this to:
- charge my 2020 MacBook Pro M1
- charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
- charge my Nintendo Switch

I highly recommend this.

Does not charge a MacBook Pro or iPad Pro

I was hoping this power supply would offer the same performance as the Apple one plus have some useful USB charging ports. Unfortunately it doesn't do either of those jobs. The supply current to the MacBook Pro is limited to 5W which is nowhere near enough to power the laptop while in use. Instead the battery discharges. I was also using a USB port to charge an iPad Pro as recommended by the manufacturer, but that also does not supply enough current to keep the device charged while in use. I contacted Anker about this and did not receive a reply.

Doesn't fast charge my Mac

Overall this is a well-built piece of kit. I like the "hub" nature of it, so I can charge multiple things at once, but, it's most glaring issue for me, is that it takes a LOOONNNGG time to fully charge my Mac (2017 Macbook Pro 13"). HOURS is what I mean...and if I'm running Teams or Zoom calls (who isn't right now), it almost seems to just keep the charge level...I'm using a high spec Anker USB C cable, so I can't see that as the issue, but I'm going to try with the one that came with the Mac and see if that makes a difference.

I'm outside of the return window...so I'll use it, but, I'm just disappointed in it's charging speed. If you're someone who's away from AC power for a while and drain your battery, I cannot recommend this item. If you stay plugged in a lot, this should do the trick, and the USB ports are a nice addition.

Misleading power output

Firstly, the build quality is great it features a brushed aluminum body that feels great and does not attract finger prints. That however is the redeeming point for me as it will not even charge my Anker Powercore+ 26800mAh. Charging other items like my iPhone is fine however anything more it will 'power off', each time this happens it needs to be unplugged for the capacitors to discharge after this it will work as usual.

Cheap USB connectors.

Able to power my Macbook pro 13, Iphone X and iWatch simultaneously though so good and as advertised.
Very cheap USB receivers/connectors for a $50 device. Took sometime to get the USB connector inside the receivers, Inserting a usb should be a job of 15 seconds or less.

Anker have been known for quality devices but this one is a letdown simply because the USB connectors are so cheap.

good charger just that the usbc pd port does not put out 60w, my lapotop only requires 45w and it wont charge from the port.. Other then that its a quaility build charger that works for everything else.. Just not at the stated wattage.
