Getting better, but only for those who are keen Two Ronnies fans

This series shows some improvement on the earlier ones, with some particularly funny sketches in episode one. Episode eight is quite good too. In the middle is much that is OK and the quality of the two stars is plain to see. It will probably make you smile, but you won't laugh much.

The mini-series, "Death can be fatal" is utter rubbish. The title is its funniest moment. The musical diversions are disappointing too.

Previously I had only seen "Best of" compilations of the Two Ronnies, and so having never seen the the original broadcasts, I was a bit disappointed with the musical interludes. Though I must say that "Swingle II" did cause some giggles in the family - Was that serious entertainment in the 70's or where they included as one of the skits?

I'll probably try series 5 to see if it is better.
