Item came through as expected and in excellent condition, but the movie itself is a stinker. Arguably one of Kevin Smith's worst films, and not really worth the watch. Convoluted plot with some really confusing scenes. Johnny Depp is in the film, which is a surprise, along with Adam Brody, Haley Joel Osment, and Justin Long to name others, but I cannot recommend watching this film in it's entirety.
Ok... so I love Kevin Smith movies!! I have all his films (except Cop Out, because he didn’t write that one and so I don’t really class it as a Kevin Smith movie...) but when I saw the trailer for this film, I thought “wow... this does not look funny and the characters seem annoying”. Then it was released in the US (I’m in the UK) and I saw all the negative reviews and assumed they were spot on. Then I watched some clips on YouTube and again thought to myself “this ain’t funny and the characters are annoying”. So the films been out for a while now and I recently decided to buy it, just so my Kevin Smith collection isn’t incomplete... I was pleasantly surprised! Is it amazing?... no. Is it his best work?... no Is it as bad as it’s made out to be?... hell no! It was actually a fun little movie, yeah, it slowed down here and there and took a long while before the action started to happen, but it’s still pretty entertaining. It’s better than Red State, thats for sure! But seriously... if you’re a casual movie fan... maybe give it a miss, it’s not that good to the point where I’ll call it a “must see”... but if you’re a Kevin Smith fan who like me thought “I think I’ll give this one a miss”... DONT! It’s no where near as bad as the critics say it is.
Despite not being a huge cinematic success, this quirky little film has enough to please every Kevin Smith fan. Starring his daughter, Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Smith as not so helpless Canadian Clerks, they save the World from evil Nazi bratwurst. And it features all eight impressions from that Ralph Garman.....!!!! Oh, and it has Johnny Depp in it too.
Like most Kevin Smith films this has not had the praise it deserves! This film follows the female clerks first introduced in TUSK and tells the story of their friendship in a light hearted and fun way. The film which is a little tongue in cheek brings their world to life. I for one can not weight for the next installment "MOOSE JAWS"
Hilarious film starring Lily-Rose Depp, Harley Quinn Smith, Johnny Depp , Jack Depp and Vanessa Paradis. With Director Kevin Smith as a CG Bratzi -Bratwurst Nazi . Lily-Rose and her friend Harley Quinn Smith are yoga enthusiasts who save the World.
I went into this one expecting to be let down. Most of the things I heard about this movie were not great. Even Smith himself puts it down all the time. But I really enjoyed it. It's definitely a Kevin Smith movie. If you're a fan you'll like it. Yeah it's cheesy and silly. But it's a lot of fun. Not as many celebrities as in his earlier films, but a lot of great actors anyway. Do yourself a favour and give it a try. If you can find it! I had a really hard time finding a copy.
A film by Kevin Smith, the man that brought you Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Mallrats. Part of his Canadian trilogy two convenience store clerks fight the evil 'Brautzi's'.
This movie is not for everyone. As a huge fan of Kevin Smith, as much as I wanted to love this move, I just couldn't. The movie felt flat. As much I wanted to love the sound female clerks from Eh-2-ZED, it just didn't happen. Johnny Depp couldn't even save the movie.
The movie felt chopped between "instagramesque" bio-photos every time a character was introduced. A lovechild between Degrassi Jr High and Clerks that just didn't work.
Ok, calling the movie "great" might be a a bit of a reach, but it it super entertaining. Must watch for any Kevin Smith fan. Lilly Rose Depp and Harley Quinn Smith have amazing chemistry and the film more charm than China has tea. Jonny Depp is funny in it too. The blu ray has no commentary and hardly any special features. Kev is like one of the only filmmakers that gives entertaining commentary and it's not present here. Save space on your shelf, buy a digital copy, bluray has nothing extra to offer. I'm sure the college's would call this disk "so basic"
