4.0 out of 5 starsSo much fun!
Reviewed in Australia on 30 December 2019
This was a fun romp! Nothing like what I normally read, but the MC is entertaining and not your usual perfect hero, and the story tumbles wildly along from action to action and battle to battle. The constant pov shifting can be a bit of a trial but that would be my only gripe in a cleverly and entertaing-ly written story!

Story reads as though you are swimming through mud, not worth the time it took to read. Poor try of a story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Brilliant!

Wow! The writing was top notch, the story a classic, the characters absolutely captivating. The interplay between Erroh and Lea was similar to that between Tiger and Del by Jennifer Roberson. That is rare, I have found. Bring on The March of Magnus. I simply cannot wait.

5.0 out of 5 stars MUST READ

After all the reading done during Covid I have been feeling jaded and not really enjoying anything. However, this book has refueled my enthusiasm. Two hereos, or more, lots of archaic fighting, romance and thrills, a God, and a follow up book. What more could you want?. (The romance doesn’t interfere with the adventure but adds another depth.)

Enjoyed the way the characters brought to life. The storyline was also excellent. Can’t wait to read the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The second half of the book had me hooked.
Reviewed in Australia on 10 June 2021
Really liked this book, and I look forward to reading more by this author. The first few chapters are a bit slow, and don`t give much away about the lead character, But once you start to know a bit more about Eroh's origins, things start to get really interesting. Some great action scenes towards the end.

However, the writer works very slowly. This was released almost 2 years ago and book 2 is still not out although it could be out in a few months, I'll probably have forgotten it by then. Shame.
