I just got this and am very impressed. Very lightweight and comfortable. The button are intuitive and easy to use. I love that it's rechargeable.
What I'm less than thrilled with:
* The 360 Lumen is pretty misleading, since it has a max of 30 seconds before stepping down to lower lumens. It should probably be advertised as 190 lumens with 360 burst mode or something.
* The headband does not fit on the lamp very well. it bunches the band up which is likely to deform the band over time. Not a big deal, but a bit annoying. The problem is half of the strips you attach the band do has solid sides so the band can't fully slip over it.
Those quibbles aside, I expect I'm going to really love this headlamp.
UPDATE, Jan 2018: Downgraded to 3 stars. I've discovered it does not hold its charge very long. I fully charged it 2 weeks ago, hung it in my closet, and went to use it today. It was totally drained. Also, my wife grabbed it a couple weeks ago so she could see while painting our pantry. It died after about 30 minutes. I do think she had it on high, but she was pretty disappointed.
my girlfriend loves hers. i've been disappointed by the battery life in mine. i haven't tested it carefully but it seems like i'm getting about 2-3 hours on high. i was expecting 5+. feels like i might have gotten a quality control reject.
low and medium are useful to have for rare occassions that require dim light. the reading light is great. but i work outside at night a lot and only "high" illuminates the work adequately. i have not used turbo for more than a minute or two.
buttons are a bit hard to press. otherwise, design is solid, simple, lightweight, aesthetically sharp. the "user interface" of button presses is on point.
This item was great for a couple months, but then charge duration started falling off. Now it won't take a charge at all. That make totally useless.
Well, you have to be smarter than the charging cable you're using...
It turns out the charging cable I was using was defective. Replacing it corrected the charging problem. However I bought another headlight when I thought this was dead and discovered that for a quarter of the price I can get a light that has much better features. The issues I still have with this light are that the buttons are somewhat difficult to operate, the charge indicator is hard to see (hence my problem with the charging cable) and the cover over the charging port is difficult to get open.
Light seems great, two buttons one for red one for white, both start out low every time. Wait a few seconds and pressing the button again will turn it off or press immediately to cycle through the brightness levels. Max brightness is all I would ever need. I can't speak to battery life because I haven't had it long.
... so why 3 stars. It is advertised in multiple places that it weighs 0.99oz and that was a big part of the reason I bought it. I have a nice Petzl tactikka and a UCO and I thought that under an oz for a headlamp was pretty cool. It weighs about twice that at 1.93oz, now I'm not a gram weenie but I definitely feel a bit deceived. They are probably talking about the lamp without the strap or something and that's not clear nor is it something people do.. use a headlamp without the strap. That said, it really seems like a good head lamp and I hope it lasts.
A solidly built light with a rechargeable battery. Unfortunately the buttons to turn on the light are almost flush with the body of the light making it hard to differentiate just where to place your finger. Also when needing to recharge you are faced with the tiny opening of a usb connector. Hard to find and connect given that you may be in the dark or without glasses after using the light.
The battery life at the high setting is not too great, and naturally worse at Turbo mode. As the battery runs down (which is not too long a time) the length at which turbo mode works also gets shorter in duration until it doesn't even go into turbo mode; instead, it only goes into high mode. Do not buy if you intend to use it for working at night for any significant duration. Doing work at night requires the high setting and that does not last that long even with fully charged batteries.
I use this for reading. I just got this and have only used it twice. I dislike the small on/off button. It is rather rigid and, for me, difficult to press down on it to turn it on. It fits comfortably and the low light is adequate for reading. I haven’t used the brighter lights, so can not comment on them.
I like this headlamp a lot. It’s a shame it started flickering after a week of very light use (walking the dog). Was going to try it for a GORUCK event but it seems it’s just going to be too unreliable. Odd, given the kudos in the backpacking community.
It is okay. It is lightweight, but the battery does not last long. It defeats the purpose if you have to carry a portable battery with you so that you can replenish the energy in the headlamp. It is comfortable but I am hesitant to rely on it for long trips.
