I'm using this for PC, and it CLAIMS to be changeable with the Razer Synapse program, but Synapse 3 doesn't support it. Legacy doesn't even run anymore. And with the four additional buttons just being copies of face buttons, it's use is extremely limited. In fact, it kind of just makes gaming harder as now I have more buttons I can accidentally hit. It's a shame, because it's a quality controller, but without the ability to customize it, it's just not worth it.
I got this controller a couple days ago and was very much looking forward to it. I never buy refurbed and took a risk this time because I was looking for a better controller for pc games that function better with that method. I opened up the case and it was super clean. I get it to my pc to plug it in and realize the breakaway cable is no where to be found. I went through all the packaging multiple times just to be sure I wasn't overlooking something and nope, no breakaway usb. At this time I contacted amazon cust svc and while Jervis seemed enthusiastic to help, all he did was give me a link to buy the cable myself. While it's only a 5-10 piece, it's frustrating to see that amazon wouldn't provide any other solution when the product I purchased cannot function without it. *BUYER BEWARE*
I've always had Xbox elite and elite 2 controllers but decided to go a different route this time. Buying this controller new is your best bet because when I received the refurbished 1 it had stick drift out of the box so I had to turn my deadzone up. Other than that the controller is decent but takes some time to get used to with the back buttons being in the center on the back of the controller. If you are someone who doesn't play claw and grip the controller pretty tight this could be a discomfort.
Bought this to play a game that extremely d-pad dependent. I was really disappointed that it only looks like it has separate arrow buttons but will 100% of the time two directions if I press on the edge, which happens a lot in tense situations. The sticks and AXYB are great quality so i can't completely knock it, but they cheaped out on a major feature and call it tournament quality, which just isn't the case.
