No injuries, but product won't last

So I'm writing this review after coming back from a week snowboarding.
I'm an experienced snowboarder, so I don't tend to fall much unless pushing myself and I don't spend much time sitting down unless it's lunch time.

That said here's my experience.
The first is these things are the biggest sweat box I've ever known! I wore boxers underneath, but they'd be soaked in a matter of a few runs. That makes things pretty damn cold after lunch!

Impact absorption was pretty good. I didn't get any bruises at all, and on the occasion I did lose an edge and land on my arse, I can't remember it ever being painful.

However to that end, these will certainly NOT last long.
After one week of use for 6 days straight, sitting at lunch times and chair lifts etc the rear tail/arse bone padding, which is the whole crux of this product, is about 1/3 it's original thickness. It has squashed down so much that I can't see them lasting one more week at best.

I have another week boarding next week so we'll soon find out!

These are OK but if you snowboard and sit down a lot to do your bindings, like most have to, then you're going to find the pad in the coccyx area compresses and stays that way losing you the protection it should have. I replaced mine with a cut down knee pad from work trousers so I can do this whenever I need to now.

A bit disappointing

Initially fit good and product looks quality. However since these are designed for sport it was disappointing that they are hand wash only. Secondly whilst wearing (for off road motorcycling) they had a tendency to slide down. I normally wear cycling shorts which have that non-slip grippy material on the waist and legs - these don’t but should have. Not yet crashed in then so can’t comment on protection levels but comfort was ok if they stayed up.

unfortunately iv noticed alot tearing on the inside where the pads sit. Only used 3 times. Feel protected in them just disappointed in the material has already started to give way 👎🏼

For the price, these shorts are quite a good deal. However, I really wish they had a better tailbone padding.
In the photos, it appears that they are well padded on the back; however, the grim reality is that after a day on a hill, the back padding is barely existent (think a standard kitchen sponge cut half the thickness) when it gets wet it's totally useless.

My trip last year was cancelled, and I never really tried the pants on. I went on a trip this year and learn the hard way that I should have done my research on impact shorts.

That said, the shorts are comfy, and the hips (the side of the hips) are decently padded, but again my main concern has always been the tailbone, for which these shorts are useless.

Also, I'm a snowboarder, so for me, another super important factor is how well the shorts isolate my butt from snow/cold when I sit on the ground, for which, due to the lack of padding I mentioned earlier, these are not the most useful purchase either.

I bought this to protect my tailbone while learning skateboarding. these shorts are one of the hottest shorts I've put on. tried to deliberately try to fall on my butt a couple of times, doesn't feel very safe. the fabric and cushion quality is too low. the cushion moves a lot it can easily expose my tailbone while falling back and I don't feel any protection. this one is just for peace of mind. for real protection, I would buy more quality shorts instead.

It's comfortable to wear. Very light weight. Barely felt it there. but 2 complaint, 1 is the price bit over price, two is the tail bone pad. It's too thin and not big enough, it doesn't cover your bum, can still felt the cold when sit on snow. thats why giving only 3 stars. Could buy a better one in decathlon with better coverage and much cheaper price.

I ordered a few pairs of these protective shorts and this brand is definitely not my favorite due to the pad on your butt, it is huge and thick and uncomfortable. Sitting and walking with these is especially uncomfortable. Once you start riding you don't notice it as much.
