Great product. Love the advanced pre-roll

No complaints about this product. Works great. One feature i love versus the ring battery cameras is that it has advanced pre-roll. I wish the battery cameras had pre-roll at least as i feel that it should have recorded a bit sooner on my battery cameras. I use this upstairs on my window sill linked to a spotlight cam which sits outside high up. Having both of these work together is great as there would be times that the indoor cam would pick up more motion than the spotlight cam. I expected this as the spotlight cam is only battery operated and would have some sort of cooldown for motion detection whereas the indoor one has dedicated mains power. This camera didn't cost me that much either as i waited for deals to pop up.

Ringing my hands in frustration

Very disappointed with the Ring Indoor cam. Software is convoluted and not straight-forward (needs to be optimised with less segmentation). Simple scheduling for hours of operation aren't available (like "off" when you're most likely to be home, if that exists see point one). Also the sensor isn't accurate nor reliable. I've often forgot to unplug the device when home (because it's easier than using the software to control it!) and I've not received ANY notification of movement FOR HOURS (little exaggeration). Thoroughly research your options before settling on Ring Indoor Cam as a solution to your needs. One positive, is it's very compact! THE MOST NEGATIVE, the needless invasion of private data when you need to create an "account" to even set-up the camera!

Does what it says, easy to setup

Pros
Super easy setup.
Video is good enough a medium-sized room.
Mounts easy to use upright or 90 Degrees
Detection of people is spot on works very well.
SW rich features that will just keep getting better through app updates.
Cloud storage is better than local storage

Cons
The audio is not as good as I was hoping, you can barely make out conversations more than a few meters away.
Slide on mount not great for upside down mounting works but needs a lock.
No option for onboard local storage or to push storage to your own NAS or local HDDs etc, Cloud addresses storage for medium size charge of $150 per year.

I ordered 5 more after trialing this one so for me it's good enough for the price paid. the whole house will now be protected.

Great , plug in and play. You need to download the app and it’s works. Subscription expires after a month which means after that you won’t be able to see records. However, you can still use camera and live view etc without subscription.
Video and audio quality is great.
