BOO HOO... "toy picnic set for kids"

Terrible product. Looks like it was designed for use by children. A very small backpack, have to be a child to use it. No good for real Aussie picnicers. Plates miniature. cutlery poor quality and will probably bend if used for proper food. Napkins, thin rags, will probably disintegrate when washed. The cooler part would not hold enough food for lunch for two let alone four. I bought a picnic set for 4 last year as a gift for the same price from a local camping store and it was far far superior.
VERY DISAPPOINTED.

After writing a lengthy review on this product, I was contacted by the company who asked for suggestions as to how to improve their product. In exchange for my suggestions and updated review, they very kindly offered to refund my purchase price and I very happily obliged. I am rating this product with 4 of 5 stars because of the customer service that I have received and the quality of the backpack itself. The quality of the contents inside of the backpack would have received a 1 star review.

UPDATED REVIEW:
I have used this backpack set twice now and am impressed with the quality of the backpack itself. It was definitely well made and has held up with a significant amount of food in the cooler compartment. Unfortunately, the quality of the items within the backpack were questionable enough to cause me to write my original review. The company apologized for the lack of quality of the plates, glasses, napkins and silverware and apparently will be amending the product detail to state that they are for "single use only", as all four of my plates broke after their first use, the napkins were not able to be washed in a washing machine, and the glasses warped in the dishwasher. While the company states that the quality of the accessories inside of the backpack (they only manufacture the backpack itself) is on par with other picnic sets listed on Amazon, I have to respectfully disagree - many other picnic sets include much higher quality plates, glasses and silverware. The blanket, while small, held up on a grass surface with a mini table that sat on top of it, which was definitely nice. All of the food in the cooler compartment stayed cold and the ice packs inside of the bag did not leak through the stitching.

All of that being said, as of my writing of this review, the current price on this set is $59.99. Given the fact that many of the tableware items in the backpack needed to be replaced after one use (plates, glasses and napkins), the price on this set should most definitely be lower as you are primarily paying for a cooler backpack and not much more.

Very nice quality backpack - I love all the picnic items that come with it. I wish there were coverslips for the cheese cutter and knives for extra protection. The downfall, the insulated pocket can leak - I wasn’t able to get a to-go box small enough to fit, so I had to squeeze it in for a kayaking trip and the oils from the container spilled and leaked through the bottom inseams of the bag, so if you’re putting something leakable, I suggest lining it with a bag just to be safe. I did throw it in the washer and although all the oils did not wash off, it was able to survive the washing machine and still looks great. I look forward to using for more picnic events!

This product came as promised. Everything is plastic and looks sturdy and durable. It was fun to use on my picnic. The side bottle holder was too small as 750L bottles of wine dont have a standard hight but this was a small thing. The bottle fit in the larger part which kept my food cool. I am a satisfied customer so far. I'll report back about durability and longevity.
