I have worn these daily for a few months. Finally I fell down. My hands and knee hit a concrete sidewalk. My hands were perfectly protected. My knee was not; I got a whole lot of damage to the skin which still hurts a week later.

Cons: The plastic surfaces are not as slippery as they should be and they are easily damaged. The stitching was defective as received. I got a slight rash on my elbow from wearing them (without falling down).

Pros: Comfortable, cheap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent inexpensive pads

I'm 5'3" and 150 pounds wearing the large size. The pads seem to be the right size for me but the straps on the knees and elbows need to be fully tightened so if you're thinner then me but have a similar frame you might need to do some adjustments on the straps or size down. I'm not sure how the next size down compares in pad size though.
They seem to be decent quality, I haven't taken a tumble yet and am just doing some parking lot practice as I'm just getting back into roller blading. Safety is still important though so I was glad to find these for a decent price!
If I continue to challenge myself and get to a point where I'm going more than a few feet at a few mph I will upgrade to some better pads but for light skating these seem good.
They have a webbing and straps, you can use just straps or straps and webbing. I used straps and webbing since the webbing wasn't super tight and seemed to help keep it secure.
As the description points out - they are a little mismatched in shape but I do think they'll mold a little bit with some use. There's a small amount of size difference but not near as extreme as that one unfortunate reviewer.
The left knee and elbow pads has an L tag and my partner had to tell me which side goes up but otherwise user friendly.
They are stuff type pads so elbow bending is slightly limited but I didn't notice any negative impact on the bend limitations in any of my joints.

5.4ft, 115 lbs if you're an adult large is perfect. Easy to get in and out of. Sleeve is a nice touch but straps only works fine: not very sweaty. Looks to be good quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars They work for a mid-size girl, too!

I wanted to review these because I didn't see a lot of reviews from people who fit my proportions when I was shopping. I bought the Large size. I'm a 5'8" lady and a bit over 190 lbs. I have fairly thick calves and thighs and pretty average arms/wrists, and these fit great when put over non-bulky clothing! I'm able to use just the straps or the strap + sleeve on both arms and legs. I didn't expect the sleeve on the knee pads to fit over my calf since I usually have to buy wide-calf boots, but it slid right on and didn't feel like it was squeezing at all. I haven't worn them to skate yet so I can't rate their protection, but as far as fit I'm pretty impressed!

I am an adult 28 year old woman. I am 5’10” and as someone who is no longer as youthful and able to rebound as I used to be, I knew I needed safety gear as I started my journey long boarding for the first time. I have eaten the grass before and the first thing that hit the ground was my knee and then I rolled but the knee pad took the entire brunt. And about 3 weeks ago, the skateboard flew out from under me and I hit the ground but the first thing that struck was my wrist pads. No pain whatsoever and I was completely fine bc of it it. The rest of my body ended up resting on the ground uninjured because of the wrist pad. I also like the aesthetic of them. Makes me feel cool and hip. I think it’s a fairly decent purchase. There are scratches on them now but they still work and they stay in place. I would definitely buy it again for others who need it too

I use this set mainly for roller skating. I don't use the elbow pads, but I like the sturdiness of the wrist guard and the knee pads. They aren't as bulky as other sets, which is what I was looking for, but that doesn't sacrifice the thickness or sturdiness of the pads themselves. I'm 125 lbs and 5'4" and the adult set fits me.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't fit well

Some of the straps are tight while others are too loose.
Website needs to give better descriptions.

Looks like all of them are sold in sets like these, so it's an issue with the main design.

The caps don't really stay in place well. I can't imagine it doing much except slipping off on impact. Especially because most falls are from the side or on the hands.

They're also a hassle to put on and take off. I can only imaging an overbearing mother being able to force their children to use these before going outside. Possibly as part of a ploy to make it so it takes more time for the kids to prepare for going out to play or coming back inside, so kids for example can't track mud into the house or the mother can motivate or demotivate the kid on the way out,
like something out of a Calvin and Hobbes strip.
I'd keep the set if they had it come with a Hobbes plushy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Plus size? No problem!

So I was skeptical of my roller skating abilities, and figured I’d buy the gear just in case. I mean I’d never worn it as a kid, so I would probably be fine, but 21 years later has allowed me to think rationally, so I bought the gear.

Thank god I did.

As you can see in the photo, I no longer possess the balance, motor skills, and resilience necessary to roller skate. Had I not bought this gear, my skin would be medium-rare. I’ve also gained a couple hundred pounds since childhood, so I was worried the gear wouldn’t fit. It does!! As a very plus size woman, the gear fit. I put it on over a hoodie and my jeans as I was worried the straps might dig in, so that’s probably the best route if you’re XXL like me, but it fit over the clothes so I was happy.

Overall I’m very grateful that this company made gear that would hold up, and especially gear that fits plus size folks. I’ll be buying it again if I ever muster the courage to skate again and manage completely destroy this set.
