Damaged Discs

There are 10 discs in this package. 8 DVDs, 1 CD, and 1 Bluray. There are 2-3 shows in one DVD. The disc starts with a main title for you to pick a show. The Blu-ray disc comes with the same 2 shows you find in disc #5. The first 5 discs have the shows. Disc 6, 7, 8 are the bonus. Disc 9 is the CD. Disc 10 is the Blu-ray.

The box art is bad. It is all dark and gray, black and white. The All My Stuffs set is full of color. All the discs come with the same artwork. It is not easy to tell one from the others.

Pictures quality is not hd. What you see if what you saw from TV years ago.

The major problem is that there are couple discs that are all scratched up out of the box. They will stop playing when the dvd player gets to the scratchy part of the discs.

I am getting a replacement from Amazon. Hope the replacement does not have damaged discs inside.

Great collection and would have gotten 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that the disc holder was completely broken. Several discs were loosely sliding around, causing them to be scratched and skipped when watched. Very disappointed.

Legendary comedy in a horrendously cheap package

My complaints in this review are in regards to the physical product and its packaging, not the legendary George Carlin and his work.

The case is made from a coarse, scratchy plastic, which did plenty of damage to the discs that came loose prior to delivery. After repairing the damaged discs with a disc resurfacer (here’s a link: https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Innovations-SkipDr-Motorized-Repair/dp/B0041A3JR6 ), the discs work fine.

One of my biggest issues with this set is that it includes a single Blu-Ray disc with Carlin’s last 2 HBO specials rather than putting the entire set on BluRay. If they had made it a BR set in the first place, the discs would have arrived unscathed. But nooooooo, let’s use DVD instead of the SCRATCH-RESISTANT format, and put them in a case that will scratch them to Hell when they come loose. Whoever was in charge of manufacturing this set is a moron.

Container was destroyed...

Received my George Carlin Commemorative Collection today and the container was absolutely destroyed! I have no idea who makes the containers for these but they need to find another company to do it because it's totally trashed. disc holders inside are totally busted from the box and the pieces were just lying inside the box. Just hoping the discs work alright. I'll bet it was made in China! The collection itself is full of the best stuff George Carlin ever did and it deserves to be packaged a hell of a lot better than this.

Came in a case that the disc holders, don't properly hold the discs... All of them had circular rings etched in them from spinning in the holder... They still play thankfully, but I am still not happy about it...
