I’ve enjoyed Book 4 in the series. I particularly like the continuity from one book to the other, but can see how you could pick a book in random order and still not feel like you’ve missed anything. Very clever writing. I’d recommend this series to anyone with an enquiring mind or who likes crime stories.
Book 4 of the DS Hart Series picks up months after the events of Book 3. As it contains spoilers for the preceding books, I would recommend reading the series in sequence.
The storyline in Book 4 is an interesting one. A creepy house to set the tone and foreboding mood of the story, the death of a teacher, 2 teenage girls are missing, a number of questionable characters are possible suspects, and the team are finding their feet after the events of the last story. Sometimes during a series, one of the books hits a lull and isn’t is as good as previous books, I’m happy to say it’s not this one! Looking forward to Book 5 and the rest of the series.
