I really enjoyed this season one Picard. The story was well told, characters from previous Star Treks joined the show. Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Data (Brent Spiner), and Frakes directed 2 episodes. Patrick Stewart was wonderful as the aged Picard and the rest of the cast were great supports. I would really like to see a Second Season particularly with Santiago Cabrena as Cristobal Rios.
What I prefer is a story that goes over a number of episodes rather than a series of episodes where each one is a separate story. It is much more satisfying to follow the development of characters and the ongoing evolution of both the main character Jean Luc Picard, along with the other participants in the story as well as the universe they inhabit. A longer story over 10 or so episodes, does exactly that and leaves this viewer with a feeling of satisfaction that the story was well told. I liked how other members of his original crew were brought into this new story because it adds so much depth overall. I am a fan of Star Trek, and these newer longer stories are absolutely great. Can't wait for another one or a continuing examination of the life of Jean Luc Picard.
Enjoyed this latest series from Star Trek with Picard as the main protagonist. The support cast do not disappoint. And the theme about the "synthetics" or androids being destined to destroy the "organics" or humans is entertaining. Looking forward to the second season of this series.
