Revelos
4.0 out of 5 starsEnhances usability and comfort at substantial cost
Reviewed in Australia on 8 February 2021
Improves the comfort of the Quest 2 by balancing it out. Sits much better on your noggin and is far easier to adjust and get on and off. The added battery life is great and also helps this balancing act.

This is the fit that you should ideally get out of the box with the Quest 2. It is an expensive addition but unfortunately I find it necessary. It just shouldn't cost this much.

The case is ok. The zipper tie is a joke and I can see it breaking off, making it extremely difficult to open/close the recessed zip. Case is nice and sturdy and the controllers fit in well too.

I also feel that fitting the Quest 2 in the case with the glasses spacer attached makes it too tight on the facial interface material where it rubs up against the plastic partition for the controllers. This means I don't use the case for day to day storage but would use it for travel.

Shipping time on this was abysmal.

1.0 out of 5 starsBroke during proper use. Do not buy outside the US
Reviewed in Australia on 30 January 2021
It appears that this product is known to break during use. The arms of the head strap appears to crack and break. I contacted Oculus support and they told me they couldn't replace it because it is not available in my region. So I am sending it back to Amazon Australia for a full refund. Do not buy first party oculus accessories through amazon.

Well first of all it is a little more comfortable then the base strap but not much but it's worlds easier to use but it broke in less than a month it is currently is transit back to Amazon for a refund I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to buy it again but I might it's still a good buy I think as long as they fix the issue truly but I'm not sure it will ever be perfect but it is still good! Enjoy!

Had this since early December, treated it well, kept in case when not in use. Finally snapped the other day. Replacement coming in courtesy of Australian Consumer Laws.

Bought this for my 10 year old son, the case is great but he found the battery strap uncomfortable. Great idea may suit some people but not for him, Daniel.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great strap - - - Awful case

After using these items now for around 2 weeks I can give you a honest review.

The power strap is very good and gives you almost double battery life. It's well made and ballance's the headset really well. Definitely worth it if you use your oQ2 a lot.

But, the case is a complete joke. Not worth buying separately. You have no option with this package.
The zip has a pathetic piece of string to open/Close the case. And the teeth on the zip are weak and gets stuck.
The interior is tight with no padding.
You have to put the controllers in the middle of the case right next to the vr lenses. If you were using this case for transportation then the controllers would be knocking the lenses.
What were Oculus/facebook thinking when designing this.. Its awful.. But it's OK it you just want to use it for storage to keep your headset away from dust.. 👍

3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 November 2020

I must say I am not really sure what to think about this thing.
Let start with the carrying case:
I was expecting something more soft. The case is hard and the touch doesn't feel great... Or at least not as great as a 50€ case should.
Fitting the controllers is uneasy, and let you with more doubt than satisfaction, you never know if you put them well.
About the strap, I must say I geel a bit scammed by all the influencers around saying it's a must have.
Maybe it's my head shape, but this is painful to wear. The dark plastic at the back is painful on the lower part while the upper part doesn't even touch my head, in fact i can pass my finger in between.
Results is that points of pressures are increased in some places, I even have more marks on my face after a session, making it worse than basic strap, opposite of the expected results indeed.
To finish on the las part, the battery is a good thing, the quest doesn't last long enough and a battery helps. Although it is a bit weird the way battery is used.
When I ordered it I was so looking forward to it and now i am rather disappointed.
It looks great but doesn't really make it comfortable.
I will see in some time how I feel about it and update that review if I change my mind.

3.0 out of 5 stars Must have additions to your Quest, but not without their flaws.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 January 2022

While these are must have pieces of kit, particularly if you like to go for official add-ons, rather than after-market ones, they are not without their flaws.

The Case - While the case looks and feels great, and will certainly do a good job of protecting my quest in transit, the zip itself is very stiff, and it often gets jammed. The zip pull handle is also very small and difficult to grip, which makes this problem even worse.

The Elite Head strap - This is undoubtably more comfortable and gives a sturdier fit / playing experience than the original 'out of the box' strap, it has one major flaw. It charges via a cable that plugs into the back, and has a separate cable that plugs into the side of your quest, to charge and power your quest. However, unless you unplug the elite battery from your quest headset when not in use, it just drains itself of battery without any use. Around 20% battery is lost per day, without even turning the device on. It's a real shame as I'm constantly forgetting to detach the Elite cable from the quest, but also this should absolutely not be something I should have to do. It's a known issue and Meta have yet to address it!

Okay so love the strap and the extra battery life only problem is the band has cracked I thought Oculus had resolved this issue? The headset has been stored in the Oculus case it's never been dropped or abused! But now it has developed a large crack! Within 1 month of purchase.
Really upsetting and disappointing!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but older versions are defective
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 December 2021

Must have bit of kit if you want to be able to use the headset for upto 4 hours in one setting, only issue is older versions have a tenancy to go brittle and crack, so insurance is a must.

Tried the other types of 3rd party head straps (vive, index and halo) and this one is most secure for me and the extended battery is a must or at the least some kind of battery bank.

3.0 out of 5 stars Uncomfortable
Reviewed in Singapore on 11 September 2021

I got one of the cheap knockoffs first. I'm sure they're available here on Amazon, do a search. Turned out, I love that thing, the knockoff is comfortable, gets a good grip, easy to put on/take off especially socially, that's all you need.

This stupid thing on the other hand, barely fit my head at all, and with the giant cupping band around the bottom you need to loosen it all the way every time to take it off. Awful if you're trying to socialize.

I found it very uncomfortable, not because anything stuck in, but for the opposite reason; it failed to get a grip on your head at all. Just a big smooth round band that doesn't rotate with your head unless you really squeeze it uncomfortably tight.

The wheel at the bank being recessed into the strap - that's a bad decision. It's impractical. It pinches your fingers a little. The stick-out dial on the knockoff models is more sensible, and nobody cares what the back of your head looks like when you're in VR.

And the battery pack is absolutely miserable, sorry, but it's the worst feature of it all because they totally failed to integrate it properly. You can't plug a data cable into it, it has no passthrough. And the menu in the Quest OS shows it as a special extra power source, but the firmware doesn't recognise it as special, if you leave the battery plugged into the Quest, then the Quest behaves as though it's on main power, and runs updates and turns on in the background until is drains the battery all the way to zero, not stopping at a low power level to protect the battery. I'm sure this damaged mine, towards the end I was getting only ~45 minutes play time from it instead of ~90.

Mine snapped at the strap, like they all do (google this if it's not familiar - it's a known fault). So I could have got a replacement for free, but I didn't want one. I cut off the top band and sewed it onto my knockoff, which is still doing fine, to upgrade that with the nicer strap material. This strap has the better materials but it's poorly designed.
