Not much padding, but the cushion doesn't move, and it's certainly better than sitting on the seat without a cushion. I recommend it and like the purchase. I use it on my Lifecore R100 Rower and it works perfectly.

I have a different brand of rowing machine than this is intended for and my seat is a bit smaller apparently because the seat cushion is larger than my rowing machine seat. That being said, it works just fine.

Pros:
Gel is cushioney to the touch. And it is a dense gel as advertised.
It can be rolled up for portability as advertised. It's quite floppy.
The seat cushion stays put and does not shift while rowing (even on my smaller seat.)
It looks A-Ok since it is just black with a logo.
It seems fairly durable but I haven't attempted to wash it
It is thin and doesn't seem to affect my rowing form at all.

Cons:
Hmm, I don't think this cushion provides all that much more cushion to the seat. It seems like a minimal amount.
I have concerns about the washability of the cushion. My hard seat can simply be wiped down if I get sweaty. And I can wipe the seat after every workout if I like. The seat cushion requires more labor to clean and from what I can tell there are no washing instructions and the cover is not removable. Something to think about.

Adds some cushion

Adds a thin layer of gel padding between you and your rower seat. Not exactly life changing comfort but it does help. Works well with my Sunny Health rower even though it’s not designed for it.
