Fun colors, but no traction

Bought these for my 10 yr old - he loves the colors and they look fun. In fact, his friends started getting them because they're inexpensive and come in lots of color options. They are a bit on the heavier side but not uncomfortable. The biggest issue is that there is absolutely no traction or grip on them. So running (especially indoors like on a basketball court) is not practical - lots of slips! For fashion or light workouts, these are great (especially for the price). But I wouldn't recommend for running or heavy workouts.

They are a bit heavier than most cross trainers, and the way these lace up don't allow for really strapping on. Overall, I give them a 4 out of 5. If possible is order a half size larger than needed, as they do run a bit small.
