Unbelievable, uncomfortable, laughable.

There were many times I doubted this was a Patterson creation. .
Whilst accepting there is a lot of corruption in many police forces throughout the world, the reader’s task here was to figure out, who wasn’t corrupt.
I think it is becoming more and more his co-writers creations. Which is fine if that is expected but not if one expects the style and standard of the master.
Back to Connelly or even Grisham, whose books can also bea disappointment of late.

Sorry to say that this book was a huge disappointment. James Patterson is one of my favorite authors and Alex Cross is one of my favorite characters. None of these characters are a favorite, and I wouldn’t be interested in knowing them even in a book. The plot was okay but delivery was shallow.

Disgusting violence against women.

I was sickened by the three descriptions of violence to women. I could not (would not) finish it. This was a huge disappointment to me as I was ready to ready this sequel following The Black Book. Boo, David Ellis, and Boo to James Patterson to allow this to be published under his name.

So excited to receive this book. Settled in and opened to read and it just didn’t look right. Closer examination showed the book started on page 43 with the next chapter up being 13. So now I have to return the book in order to get one that I can read. So very frustrating.
