Sweet toy, sort of loud heartbeat

Sweet, sweet stuffed dog! The disk with the heartbeat wasn't in with the dog when I received it but they sent it out to me right away. I wrapped a shirt I had worn around it so it would have my scent. While I didn't force it on my little dog, I moved it around and put it nearby where ever my dog was. I was hoping it would relieve my dog's recent separation anxiety since our larger dog passed away early July, but that isn't working - my little dog is 10 and isn't 'buying" it as a companion as it doesn't have a doggie smell, but I do think it would work for puppies, etc. I did think of putting the collar of the dog who passed away onto the stuffed dog, but I felt it would confuse our little one. The heartbeat is louder than I'd like and it vibrates, which I can actually feel through the cushions of our couch if I set it on the couch near our dog, and I don't like that. I do think it's worth people trying it and I will keep it just in case my little dog decides to snuggle up to it.

I purchased this for my 13 yr old dog because a few months ago his brother went to heaven.. they were extremely bonded dogs ..like yin and yang.. where one went the other would follow ..they were sleeping on each other ...eating together ...you would think they were attached at the hip..( but they were attached at the heart💜). Anyways my little man wasn't taking this too well.. which was to be expected.. he finally just started eating a little bit , after 2 months. He is definitely still sad and depressed and I try everything I can to help perk him up and keep him moving. I searched heartbeat puppy and came across this one.. and decided to purchase it for him. As you can see in the pictures he absolutely loves it.! Falls asleep on it and lays by it alot. ..and I feel it does help his loneliness and depression.. maybe it feels like another dog to him. On the downside ..it is alot smaller than what I thought it was... my dog is only 9 pounds and as you can see in the pictures it's smaller than my dog. The heartbeat is actually pretty strong.. I chose to put a shirt on the dog so it wouldn't be as loud and pulsating.

Not for chewers or older puppies. Bought it for comfort when we adopted a 6month old rescue. My 6 month old puppy was hunting the heartbeat like it was a critter so I removed after 1 minute otherwise she would've chewed up the plastic thru the stuffy. This would be best for little pups who are weaning. It was a friend for her a few days but then she easily chewed its ears off and was obsessed with getting the velcro open. She eventually did and turned it inside out. Now its an earless stuffy with chewed velcro belly. It was super soft though!

But the heartbeat portion is made really really cheap , even the second one hand to be jiggle around quite a bit to get it goi g each time we need to use it and to open it , you feel like it will be break . It is made with cheap plastic where it opens and where the battery springs line up seems to be the issue . I think if they spent a little more there they would have a great product . when I exchanged mine I never even opened the dog just the heart part . It was a waste of some dog. The heart plastic part is the issue , it was made cheap. it’s the opening of the clasp and how the batteries line up with the connection. points .

Morgan is a special needs hound that suffers from extreme anxiety. We have had her “baby” for a week now and it has really helped. We have seen her tail wag once, she gave kisses for the first time, & today she played a little with the other two dogs.
Now a review...it’s a good value for the money. Not a lot of stuffing. I don’t have confidence in its durability, but she is very gentle with it. The “heart” is larger and louder than the more expensive type models. But as mentioned before it has proven very helpful. I would buy again if needed.

Puppy Wanted To Chew It Up!

The puppy itself is adorable and VERY soft. The batteries that make it's "heart beat" are not supplied. It does make a heart beat sound etc which I didn't think was very pronounced. It's really kind of expensive and considering that my 8 month old puppy just wanted to chew it up, it didn't make a lot of sense to keep it so I returned it.....I mean, it kind of defeats the purpose of calming down a dog and reducing anxiety, if they want to EAT it....lol.

Bought for an 8 week old puppy. The stuffy is very soft and plush. It has a small zipper that you put the "heartbeat" gadget into. It basically just pulse-vibrates. Not sure how well this worked, but the puppy seemed to like it and did sleep through most of the first night. Had to wash it in the morning, and it seemed to do well in the washer/dryer (took out the gadget, of course). I doubt this is very durable, however. For a puppy or small dog, it's fine. For a larger dog or a more serious destro-puppy, it probably won't last long. It's pretty big, though -- perfect size for puppies. It's large enough for even a lab puppy to snuggle with.

Adorable soft dog. I have it picture next to a xs dog harness so you can see the size of the stuffed dog. The plastic heart is made of cheap plastic and I hope it will not break when I have to put batteries in and out of it. The heart beat is a little too powerful even when it is inside the dog. It gives me the sensation of when your blood sugar drops and you get shaky. The loudness of the heart beat does not bother me as much of the vibration type feeling it gives. I will be putting a hand warmer in when I pick up our puppy to put off some earth. So I’ll leave that up to you if you want to spend the xtra $10 on the other brand that is out there.

I bought this for our foster pup who needed to be crate trained. He barked all night. He slept really well once I put this in his crate. His crate behavior significantly improved. Durability I would say is so so...I don't see this lasting through the testing stage.
I have 3 of the original and it's made better.
