I bought two of these, due to driving cross country, (from Dallas to Paradise, PA) to pick up TWO new Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pups (brother & sister.. I got the brother for my dad who lives alone & needed a companion, and we have the sister). The drive was 30 hours each way, which took us longer to get home with 2 baby pups + our 7 yr old Cavalier who wanted NOTHING to do with these babies!
I kept the brother for the first week we were back in TX, til my dad could come get him. We were so worried about the separation, I thought getting them each their own heart-beating dog would be great!
I am soooo glad I did, because it’s been a lifesaver!!
Not only do our dogs love their “security dog”, but I am thrilled to see such amazing quality & durability!! I am being honest when I say that the batteries are STILL going strong- which I forget to turn it off when she wakes from naps.
It’s been 3 weeks since we brought them home, mind you! The tickers are still a tickin’! Our girl now whines if she’s in her pen and doesn’t have her “security pooch”!! Immediately when I put it in there with her, she nudges it with her nose, does a little “fluff” to it, then lays on top of it, snuggled up to the “bo-boom-ba-boom”.
*TIP:: if you happen to have any of those baby warm/cold packs that have the little gel beads inside, you can pop in micro for 15 seconds, then insert on top of the beating heart (closest to zipper so they can feel the warmth). Perfect for icy cold nights!
I am so so happy I found this while browsing puppy stuff! It’s been THE BEST item we’ve bought so far!!
There’s another brand on Amazon selling these too, but they’re more expensive. Go with this one- you won’t regret it!!!
FYI- it takes 3- AAA batteries, which I used Everready brand.
This is THE PERFECT new puppy gift you could get your loved ones, for their welcome home, puppy gift!!!

I very very rarely take the time to write a review. I cannot help but comment how wonderful this device' is!! So many years ago when I grew up with puppies we used the sound of a clock that would tick tock. This is an amazing device lol. It is my puppies 3rd night in the crate, and as you can see he loves the animal... he will not try to tear it up, he hasn't tried to throw it around like he has his other toys this is perfect thank you!!

My Havanese is 6 years old. He chews most stuffed toys. He sleeps with this toy during the day and night. It batteries last a very long time. I love the opening on the stomach where you put the heart, so much better then a zipper. I purchased this since he is a service dog and sometimes must be left alone when I go to certain apointments. This is his friend that comforts him. Great item. Thank you and it is worth every thing I paid for it plus it is adorable

I can not stress enough how glad I am that I went ahead and bought this before my puppy came home.
Some of the lower star reviews had me nervous but not only is this stuffed animal adorable but it comforted my deaf puppy all through his first night (that he slept all the way through) and puts him right to sleep whenever he bundles up next to it.

The heartbeat sounds more like a clock than a heart, at least to me, but the vibration worked absolute wonders for him.

I had originally posted a review after I bought this for my 8 week basset puppy. But wanted to update this. We had it left around because my dog outgrew it. We had a 3 week old sick abandoned kitten brought to us a few nights ago. Couldn't open her eyes they were so gunned over. I put this puppy in with her and turned the heartbeat on. She snuggles right to it. If it shuts off she starts crying.
Whether it's a 8 week old puppy, kitten, a younger than that puppy or kitten, or a child with special needs; this works wonders. It helped my puppy, kid, and this poor baby.
It's worth the money.
And for those talking about it not having heat, buy some hot hands and put them in.
And about the durability, my basset was a chewer and it's still good with no holes or anything.

I purchased this toy for my sister who got a new puppy. The breed of dog she got is especially social and can have a hard time being separated from siblings/mother. She was so happy to get this as a gift and had never heard of it before! The toy is very soft and SO cute! There is a plastic piece in the zipper pocket that makes the heartbeat. It requires 3 batteries that are not included with the purchase. You have to turn the heartbeat device on and off by removing it from the pocket. We kind of wished there was a way to do it without having to remove it every time, but it isn't hard to do or anything. Overall, this is so cute and a great gift idea for baby puppies needing love! :)

We bought this heart beat dog to accompany our puppy (Mini Labradoodle) on a flight from Pennsylvania to California. It was a long 6 hour flight home (PA to CA) and our puppy was brand new. We weren't really sure what to expect. We had her in a pet carrier under the seat in front of us. About 4 or 5 hours into the trip she started to get a little bit restless. We turned on the heart beat dog and it really soothed her for the rest of the flight. To this day (12 weeks later), she sleeps with her heart beat puppy. Only, she's figured out how to get the heart battery pack out of the insides (opens the Velcro), so we just leave the vibrating part out. She uses the dog as a pillow. Well worth the money. (Sorry I don't have a pic of the heart beat puppy on hand... but here is the pooch the heart beat puppy calmed.)

My puppy is now almost 5 months old and as soon as I put this little heart beat plush dog down, she looks at it for a few moments then plops down across it and passes out, every, time. There are more expensive options out there but this works great for my dog. If your dog is destructive, pop it in the dog bed (unzip and put under the dog bed cover) I had to do that for the first few nights bc my pup managed to tear the Velcro open and pull out the plastics battery operated heart beat. Now she’s fine with it
