4.0 out of 5 stars Here for the Emilia/Wrath banter only
Reviewed in Australia on 24 October 2021
That's basically it. Cliff-notes review:

> 70% Emilia/Wrath banter (delicious)
> 10% Plot (honestly kinda stupid, very predictable, and crammed into the last 50 pages)
> 20% Meandering and Emilia being annoying and dumb TBH (think "I'm going to do stuff" and then proceeding to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING)

FYI if you need/want trigger warnings look up some reviews which detail Chapter 17. I personally had no issue, however it's worth checking out if needed.

BASICALLY: Wrath carries this book and deserves the ultimate HEA in the finale. Can't wait.

4.0 out of 5 stars Much steamier than the first!

KoTC picks up right after that cliffhanger ending from Kingdom of the Wicked.

This installment was more action packed than the first so I felt the pace was better. There was a constant tension throughout making it a fun page turner.

The sexual tension between Emilia and Wrath also upped a notch, the will they won’t they aspect goes back and forth so much – but the chemistry between them is always enough that you stay invested! This will be a hit for those that enjoy a romance heavy fantasy with a little spice. The author announced this is a New Adult series, which explains the content in this book (I thought it was YA based on the first).

I didn’t care for the constant descriptions of Emilia’s dresses and I’ll admit I skimmed those parts. However, I could picture certain fan arts when reading, so I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything crucial. I actually skim outfit descriptions a lot in books, so this isn’t a reflection on the writing at all – my brain just won’t take in the outfit.

The food descriptions are back too and everything sounds delicious!

The plot took a turn I didn’t expect and that’s when I couldn’t put the book down. This feels like the foundations for book three so I can appreciate all the little details that have been scattered throughout.

Nothing is as it seems and just as you think you’ll piece things together… the conclusion bites you in the butt!

Overall this was a great read. I couldn’t put the book down and I’ve pre ordered book three as soon as I finished this one!

I have been waiting an eternity for this book to be delivered after I eagerly pre-ordered it in April. This book follows KOTW (Kingdom of the wicked) which I adored.

As if the author read my review way back when, book one was very slightly lacking in either a bit more violence or more raunch! Well let me tell you, book 2 was 50 shades of hell (in a demonic sense) the author really turned up the raunch factor and it got HOT!

Aside from the welcomed pash, the story was brilliant! I loved being drip fed clues about Emilia’s curse and how deeply entwined she is to a world she doesn’t seem to know. Navigating her way through the seven circles of hell under the protection of house wrath, will Emilia find out who was responsible for her twins death? Will she wed the devil, or does she fall for wrath? I loved the setting of this book. There are masked balls, feasts, dancing, bludgeoning, sin training and a lot of steamy encounters!

Left on another perfect cliffhanger, one I’m happy to wait for answers for. Bring on book three and in a hurry!! What a way to kick off October!

I'm not normally the biggest fan of fantasy romance but I really enjoyed this sequel.

I loved the dark and eerie atmosphere of the underworld. I just wish we'd had the chance to visit more of the Prince's and their respective houses.

The plot moved at a steady pace and I enjoyed finding out more clues as to what actually happed to Vittoria.

I still really love the relationship between Emilia and Wrath. Their banter is my favourite thing to read about.

Still can't get my head around the major plot twist in this book! I'm really excited to read the concluding book when it's out.

Just such a cool and enchanting story 💜

I really enjoy the world building and magic that Kerri has created. The emotions and sexual tension between the characters have been written so well. I can't wait to read the third book.

I enjoyed this book however it didn’t feel like much happened other than the romance! It is worth the read but be mindful that the story line has fizzled out a little bit. Felt like a filler book so perhaps it’s building up to something big.
Condition was good and delivery on time.

It is a good follow-up for the first book. I liked the description of the hell and how all circles are fashioned.
I loved Wrath and god! This man has to be patience I think this should be his "sin". There where some situations where I lost it all at smashed anything if I was him!

Why? Maybe this is the reason why I gave this book "only" 4 and not 5 stars. Emilia was a little bit to much for me... I liked her way of thinking , ploting and ideas in the first book but I didn't had the feeling she was much develop in this one - only at the last 25% of the book when she finally realized a few things.

I do like this book and the story and I'm eager to learn how this story will go on in the third book.

The ending is killing me and I have no idea when the next book is coming out. Cruel ending

I felt like I was constantly going in circles reading this book. It didn’t answer a ton of questions, it just sort of told you things that weren’t the answer. I didn’t really enjoy that. It could have wrapped up the marriage storyline and continued with the twin in the next book.

But who am I?

I would recommend
