Love the characters of Corrie and Nora. Great to see such formidable female personalities . Not sure about the alien angle but enjoyed the story immensely despite it. These two are giving Pendergast and Coldmoon a run for their money.

Very enlightening about UFOs, don't want to spoil anything. This was a great continuation of the Nora Kelly series. Like all of their books, brilliantly written.

Oh this is getting boring in its sameness..take a step back and look at the whole 3 books, same same same, can you seriously charge for the third book.and your comments about the British puts me right of..unnecessary.....so now I will go back and continue to enjoy the scandi writers, who have in most cases so much more talent..and are much more entertaining and obviously use more effort than these books pumping out samness

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story but not too sure about the end.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the two previous Nora Kelly books but this did go out on a limb. Still well written and no regrets at reading it but I would have preferred the end to have been more a great archaeological find rather than an alien artifact. Perhaps if the authors note reviews, they might go back to the fascinating archaeological thread while bringing in a detective mystery of just a secret Indian city of similar rather than science fiction.

The returning characters continue to develop and several new characters are excellent creations. The story follows a pattern of plots within plots and a nasty evil entity trying to thwart every line of enquiry.
I love the combination of archaeology, forensics and detective work that blend together to exceed the sum of their parts.

Good storyline which borders on drifting into fantasy but redeems itself with a clever ending.

4.0 out of 5 stars Preston & Child with another hit
Reviewed in Canada on 16 March 2022

As a huge Preston & Child fan, I enjoyed this book as it continues along the journey of Nora Kelly (archeologist) and Corrie Swanson (FBI). In a nutshell, Nora was hired by a wealthy philanthropist to lead a team in the excavation of the 1947 Roswell crash site. When a team member goes missing, Corrie Swanson is brought into the mix. The two start down a journey that leads them to the discovery of a secret government organization. What are the covering up? What are they protecting?

I think this is the first time I have not given a Preston & Child book 5 stars. This was a very engaging and past-paced read, but I struggled with the wrap-up towards the end. I won't say more than this, to avoid unveiling any "spoilers". I do hope the two main characters continue their journey together in the future, as I would enjoy reading more stories like this. 4.5 intergalactic stars
