She has provided us with first class, entertaining and historically accurate literature from her beloved Eire - like thousands of other readers, I lament the end of another superb series and I clamour for a new book very soon; thankyou for brightening our lives with your story telling, Ms. Grainger.

5.0 out of 5 stars *Must read* - An exciting finale to the Queenstown Series
Reviewed in Australia on 17 January 2022
As a regular reader of Jeans' books, this finale was worth the wait. It was full of twists and turns and the unexpected. Set in the Roaring Twenties, Jean also introduces the issues women had back then, when they were considered their husbands property, there was no freedom or liberty for women. Harp is at the forefront and takes great risks as she refuses to conform to what family and society expected of her both in Ireland and in the US. We see her travel as predicted by Henry and she wishes to fulfil the dreams he had for her. The Musical Act, Roaring Liberty, is formed with Harp, John Joe, Jerry, Eliot and Cecilia all members, which causes family issues due to the expectations that Harp would marry. Their act takes them to New York and over to Dublin where they perform. Once again disaster occurs and creates many complications. Then throw in the 'Evil Ralph' and his lies and deceit, for an added twist and once again Jean has another winner.

Jean Grainger never disappoints! Fantastic four book series. Sad to say goodbye to these characters, but have loved each book. I found it impossible to put down, and highly recommend this book.

Another marvellous story which has continued the story of Harp and JJ seamlessly through all the troubles, getting a separate Ireland from the British although they kept the Northern part!!
It was lovely to follow them across in Boston although it felt as though the sea crossing was over in a flash when it took a wee bit longer.
There band was just the job to help them all get on with their lives and I thank the author for a captivating series.

Thank you Jean Grainger for a series filled with the facts of life over a 10 year period in a very troubled Ireland. The philosophy is wonderful and is as relevant to life 100 years on as it has been since it was first written. The story covers human nature and all its vagaries in depth and gives pause for thought! Thank you again.

I have enjoyed previous books in this series and a number of Jean Granger's books' for me have been ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ , however this one did not come up to expectations. Political history seemed to come more to the fore and the story line lacked punch. Too "samy".
